A few years ago my brother had some friends over. They were just drinking and talking, stuff like that. At one point one of them knocked the cup out of someone else's hand and some of the drink spilled in my PS4. I damn near had a heart attack. Some definitely got in from the side vents. Luckily it seemed fine, still have it to this day. But since then I straight up never leave any drink near my desk ever. Be it mine or someone else's. I don't ever want to risk splashing any kind of liquid on my PC or PS5.

I went through the same thing the other week when the hurricane hit. The freaking water was coming through the wall where my window is and literally was hitting the top of my PC. I had to unplug everything and move it away from that wall. Thankfully everything was okay, but it was pouring. And yes, the hurricane was pretty fucking bad.

No you can’t see it on stream. My stream was stuttering and freezing which ended the streams but I didn’t know the cause of what was going on until the 2nd time it happened and the stream was offline

Worst case scenario is the card dies but the chances of that happening from a few drops of water is really really low. You also could have potentially saved it if you cut power to it, cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry for a few days. This is why having a card with a backplate is important and you should never buy a card without one. Bigger issue would have been if any water got on the motherboard while it was powered on as that could have shorted everything.

This is the exact reason why I never like to bring food or drinks where I play or have my games. The fear like this could happen lol even though my PS5 and other stuff is further away from my couch , I have a garbage/sweat/germ phobia when it comes to my collectibles. My phobia is that bad when I seen how bad my controllers were couple years ago when I was a kid , I like to play my games especially competitive stuff with latex gloves on lol 😂 I don't like to get my controllers sweaty and stuff . Nor my games to have finger prints etc . I like to keep them in great shape. It's a hassle but I'll be worth it in the end for my stuff condition wise lol thank god your PC didn't get destroyed. My guy, don’t put a vacuum to your system because the parts are static sensitive. You can destroy your parts like that. Next time use compressed air. If some parts are not working after they are dried, dissemble the parts and spray the PCBs down with contact cleaner. You can use CRC contact cleaner or WD-40 contact cleaner. Get your system up off the floor too, man. Lol
