That design of the PS5 is just the dev kit. Sony has a weird habit of making strange designs for their dev kits, only for the finished product to look nothing like it.

Important bullet points that came to mind: - This console, at the very least, it's going to be over $500 monies. There's absolutely no way it's cheaper than that. Take a look back at when the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 launched. These consoles are all great and each had their own individual unique features, but they will not come anywhere near the capabilities and specs of PS5. Too many features, too powerful. $500 minimum, $800 max. Payment plans will surely be encouraged. - Haptic controllers sound like a scam. It sounds exactly how they tried to market the Sixaxis on PS3, and the touchpad-light combo on PS4. It will be used randomly to add more 'gameplay' to the first few games that release, then forgotten over the next six months by AAA games that don't give a dang about this "features". - You know man, YOU KNOOOOOOOOOW, these controllers have a maximum 1 hour battery life. PS4 charge lasts nothing, imagine this controllers with all these magical haptic sensations capable of adapting different environments to create genuine immersion and a variety of textures... - Backwards compatibility sounds to good to be true. SONY has made quite a few buckaroos with remasters, remakes and collections, so making PS5 be universally compatible sounds risky. I'm not believing the rumor until I see it when I buy the console, if I buy it. - I would be quite dum dum to not see the massive push for everything-digital. I personally like having a physical copy, but I can also see how not shipping them out could save developers some cash, cash that they can use to replace microtransactions and add more features to their games. However, most countries, including the Land of the Free, data caps are a joke. I pay $60 for "200Mbps" but only get 160 on a very good and random day. I'm always bordering the max cap and I don't even play multiplayer games. If I decide to download a game from the PS Store because a sale was on, you bet your behind that I'm going to get an email from COMCAST telling me that I'm near the limit. Games are too heavy to download and ISPs don't make it easy. Video game companies need to settle their crap with the ISPs before moving full-digital. - GameStop is making a transition from Video Game Blockbuster to E-Sports. There are stores getting the remake treatment, and they look absolutely nothing like the previous ones. GameStop seems to be quite prepared for the digital shift. They could essentially partner up with Twitch, SONY and Microsoft to have tournaments hosted by them. GameStop could potentially benefit quite a lot from this bold move. - That design looks terrible. I'm sure it's just a placeholder image just like they've done with the previous consoles. I for sure have no idea how it'll look, but it will definitely NEED quite a lot of openings for the fans capable of fanning the heat from these marvelous specs. - I'm for sure not buying it. I'm tired of Little Big Planet and empty, generic open worlds with "crafting" for the sake of adding substance in the game. My apologies for the mess of statements. I typed 'em up as soon as they formed inside my brain, while listening.

The part bout the controller is that apparently when 2 of the car wheels are on the dirt you will be able to tell the different felling between 2 wheels in dirt and other 2 on normal race floor. I'm exited for the PS5, i think the fully backward with ps1-ps4 one will be expensive whereas the the one with only PS4 will be the norm thus like 500.

Mannn you hit just about every point accurately with how I feel on the PS5 right now. A couple things I have a bit of a gripe on is the possibility of an ‘all-digital’ console. Don’t think it’ll happen right now, but in the future I hope it’s not the case (or at least have it as another option. The dev kit look threw me off too, kinda grew on me at this point too. So, it’s whatever. Some of these PS5 features looks intriguing though: Having the possible ability to install & straight to single player or multiplayer if you choose. Dualshock 5 seems interesting with the haptic feedback feature, knowing and feeling how it’s used with the newer phones today. And I’ll tell you right now..... if we have FULL BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Copping it NO QUESTION

I think haptic feedback has far more potential than the touch pad and light bar ever did, because it’s already a feature that has existed for a long time. I can see a lot of developers utilizing that feature. Especially, Sony’s 1st party. I’m looking at you Naughty Dog...

I LOVE that Next Gen is looking to be very powerful and capable. The 2013 Consoles were pretty weak compared to what they could have been. I personally would pay as much as $650 for a PS5. It definitely will not be that much, but if it is and its power justifies a $650 pricepoint, I would definitely buy it in a heartbeat. I predict that the PS5 will be sold at nearly a $75 loss per unit (Console manufacturers are one of the industry leaders in losses at launch, because they make it up with software and subscription services over time), and will be officially priced at $499.99. So total costs will be around $574.99 and price is at $499.99. That's my prediction. I can't wait for the PS5!

i cant deal with all digital call me an old 20 year old or what but whats the point of downloading a game each time? people are slowing that shit down bruh phones should not be that expensive thats just me though i guess $599 is max what ill pay. just pop the disk even if it does the same thing you have a fairly reliable medium for it. how many old games do you have? at least a couple they probably still work. i have a couple ps2 and ps1 games who knows how old they are probably 20 years + i got alot of these games used at flea markets or game stores the disk still plays. backwards compatibility is also a big thing i didnt play games this gen so its worth more to buy a ps5 vs an old ps4 no matter how cheap it gets.

Idk why in the world people still believe the Ps5 could be $600, when around the beginning of the year Sony clearly said they learned from their mistake with the Ps3 and they wont be making it again. Sony knows what they have to do and what price keeps them selling consoles not just staying on top. Let's just say Sony tried the $600 thing, do you know how many people will not buy it and keep their current consoles until the price drop. I mean their will be hardcore fans that will buy it anyway but not as much and Sony knows that. I'm a true Sony fan and I won't even buy it then I'll wait for price drop, that's just my personal preference. This doesn't mean people will turn around and get the new Xbox instead it just means they will lose momentum and Sony is trying to keep the momentum going. Alot of people isn't going to agree but I see a $400 price point because if anyone remembers when the pro dropped their was talks about how if Sony waited to come out with a new system n 2020 they will save alot of money on alot of the components they were going to put in their next gen system. So don't let the specs fool you Sony isn't going to be really taking a hit at $400 because they're going to be selling like hotcakes.

$500 and $600 is what people said about the Ps4 Pro. Sony saw how Microsoft did that with the Xbox one X and people weren't willing to spend that much. That's not just because of the exclusives, because even alot of the hardcore Xbox fans wanted to wait for the price to drop. Now even though they are doing cross console play now, this is still a competition and Sony is coming to WIN. We know the next Xbox is going to be $500 they aren't going up to $600 when they know they couldn't sell at $500 so that leaves SONY to go $100 less which will be $400.
