He's still a legend. He's not up there with the likes of Tupac, Biggie, NWA or anyone from the 80s because they created this genre. Nobody can match to their status. It's like saying someone could match up to Elvis in terms of "rock and roll" or Micheal Jackson in terms of pop. He's a legend of this genre, because for a vast majority of his career (if not all of his career) he's stuck with gangster rap. Is he one of the best of our time? No. But he's still worth a mention as a contributor. You can never really say who's the best at this point in time. Kendrick's on another level, and GKMC + Section 80 will be later known as legendary albums for our generation. Until he's made another couple of albums with the same overwhelming praise he's still on his way up in my mind.
