I’m not really too worried, but I do see where you’re coming from with COD 2025 and Treyarch potentially taking MP maps from MW3. To me though I’m sure Treyarch already have their first 2-3 seasons ready, but I’m guessing Activision wants those seasons to be even bigger, so they’re taking maps from the already ending MW3 since BO6 will more than likely be a bigger game overall. For zombies though I was expecting 4 maps post launch and if we get any more than that it would be great, but quality over quantity as always. We’re already getting our first DLC map in November/December which to me is a good sign that we’re not waiting until January/February like we did for FBZ so I’m not too worried about post launch overall.

I wanted this game to be different. Like a part 2 to Black Ops 3. But if it’s just going to be Cold War 2.0 with Warzone feel, then that’s disappointing. I think the sledgehammer maps which was meant to be for mw3 season 6 will be Halloween theme maps for bo6 to have a Halloween maps at launch like what they have spoke about in the cod pod because normally we don't see Halloween events in cod until season 6 but if treyarch is doing a Halloween event at launch they wouldn't of made maps for that. So personal I could see 2 or 3 hordepoint maps from season 6 plans for mw3 being in bo6.

There were 4 years between Treyarch games. This is different than saying that they had 4 years of development time. They were pulled for numerous projects throughout that time. The beta speaks louder than words. This game wasn’t developed over 4 years. I would be surprised if activision gave them TWO years.

Usually when it comes to an engine switch, that itself takes a lot of time. Especially trying to build it in a way where it fits the aesthetic of their original engine. I remember there was a developer who til this day hasn’t said much about their upcoming game, but last year, they had to do an engine switch and basically had to rebuild almost everything.

I'm really worried that if they're gonna have multiple maps for Outbreak like they did in Cold War, then all the maps that are seemingly taking place in Liberty Falls could combine to be one bigger map for BO6's Outbreak. If this happens then it could seriously affect the experience that the round-based versions of these locations have, from everything like atmosphere/aura to gameplay.

You do realize that cod HQ has absolutely nothing to do with how "easy" it is to transfer maps... The games are built on the same engine. That's why its transferrable. CoD hq could (hopefully) disappear tomorrow and they could still transfer maps between games...

Map size has been a huge concern for BO6. A theory of mine is that maybe the season 6 maps being held back were indeed larger scale maps that will add some variety to the map cycle in BO6 🤷🏽‍♂️. Just a tiny thought of mine.

I will say that in either case treyarch had a ton of time to create a new movement system. They obviously took what cold war was doing and merged with features from MW but thankfully created a new movement system so it’s not the exact same every freakin year. I have no problem with maps reskinned and sledgehammer helping. Mw3 progress makes no sense at this point so if they did create a good map it should 100% be released on bo6. As for the 2 years that makes sense because of how crazy different the MW engine is. Do I think that they should have conjoined all the cod games together? Absolutely freakan not. It reduces competition and innovation when everyone has the exact same stuff every freakan year
