ima be honest, the advanced trilogy acts more of seperate games than an actual trilogy considering how they all play different

They really don't play differently. Especially 2 and 3. They're so similar.

I do agree that the game feels rather mindless. A lot of the early stages fall into the trap of "hold right to win."
