Dude I had no idea the DRZ doesn’t even have an RPM range! A friend of mine had one at the track the other day and I was like whatttt?! 🤯🤣
@TheGardenSnake2 жыл бұрын
These dual sports are always on last decades tech. Well the DRZ is last century, 1999 was the first year. I mean like honestly once you have a pipe on a single do you really need an RPM gauge🤣 like the power always drops off my redline. Even the $12k 701/690s don’t have one. But like I said I’d rather have water temp and oil pressure.

I could be wrong, but I don't remember seeing a tachometer on a dual sport/street and trail bike ever past the 70s. I can't remember exactly 70 what, but some old 2t Suzuki and yamaha I remember seeing dual gauges or a split cluster with both on them. I was doing some crf to xr swapping and am in the process of putting on a digital speedometer and had forgotten where the best place to go for the tachometer without making it bouncy and found your video. About bought that speedometer just before I settled on the one I got instead. I'll have to come back and see how well yours did and tell you if I got mine on and dialed in right and tell you what all features on the thing I got to work right on it lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but coolant temperature will only tell you what the thermostat is set to, not the engine temperature. Don't you really want the engine temperature? At most it will hit 130* or whatever the thermostat is made to so I guess at best you can tell when you need a new thermostat.

No, only under 180f will you be in the dark. And that’s not overheating so it’s not a big deal. Above that you’ll know exactly. In the real world once warmed up you’ll know the water temps on the fly. Big thing here is you can see if it’s overheating or getting up there.
