Oh my.. i left Kherson in march 2022, being 4 months pregnant and haven't been there since. The thought of seeing my city deserted and the streets i walked empty and almost lifeless hurts me so much. Thank you, Caolan, for these stories, for being so strong, so devoted, and so open. You are doing way more for my city and my country than i have ever done❤. Thanks, Corrie, for inviting and interviewing ❤

It's the first time since 2022 I feel like being completely understood by non-native ukrainians. Every word, every phrase, is the absolute truth. For almost 3 years had a feeling that my country is screaming, but nobody hears or doesn't care. Thank you for describing this awful war as it is without diplomatic bullshit. Thank you for voicing out that the West is too slow, too uncertain.. We are asking for weapons and more help not because we are ungrateful, but because it's a matter of our existence. it's the everyday terror from the terrorists who are governed by terrorist state. Thank you for declaring that russian propaganda is extremely underestimated. And it's time to face the reality and to fight it as the part of the war. And it's not only Ukraine, that it attacks, but all normal world, humanity, democracy, and values of developed nations. And it's not only putin but all russians who are responsible because they kill and support killing. Human rights are neglected by them, so they have to be treated accordingly. Thank you for being the voice of truth outside of Ukraine. What amazed me the most- the mix of desperation and sadness because of the war horrors and inspiration and admiration of nature, beauty, culture ❤ That's what gives us strength and makes us unbreakable.

Wow, thank you, both of you for this interview. Thank you, Caolan, for your love for people and for truth. Your actions show that you love others, and are serving them, not yourself. You will disagree, saying that you are selfish. But your actions and words do count. I pray that you will survive, will tell the right stories to the right people, and that their hearts will be turned. Praying, too, that you will discover more truth and continue to have your eyes opened. Guard yourself against the forces of evil and against the effects of trauma. Take care of yourself, too.

@TheGazeDigitalPlatform We should and we will (i don't use other social networks for now). I also suggest sharing Caolan's own videos and subscribing to his chanell. Especially the "interview" with Nick Shirley, i've shared it everywhere i could. I'll do what i can for The Gaze too and hope all of you get "controversial" enough to go viral. Otherwise it's mostly preaching to the choir.

As an American who was born and raised in Kherson, it’s really hard watching this…I have always said that Kherson is a very special place with incredible, humble, kind, caring, and resilient people. In fact, I have never met anyone like them anywhere else in Ukraine. Khersoners are the definition of “goodness” and “humility”. It’s heartbreaking seeing my beautiful town being erased and these pure hearted people murdered just for being Ukrainian. Many of my friends and family are still there, including my childhood friend who is a doctor. It pains me seeing him in a bulletproof vest when he has to tend to wounded civilians; he is almost unrecognizable now (a true Hero and a Man)….Thank you for telling their stories as it seems that my city has been abandoned by both the government and media

You know i think Caolan should go to Washington and ask the Administration what's the difference between ISIS and the Russians and why they declare war on Terror after the Twin Towers came down, and Article 5 on terror but don't treat the Russian State in the same way.
@dannydetonator3 ай бұрын
Countries like mine on Russia's western border have given Russia an official designation as a "terrorist state". Doesn't mean much in the larger picture, but it's a political statement and helps to interpret local legislation, like in Kremlin's collaborator cases, etc. For now only local legislation, but it have to go global.

7:38 ah the "white phosphorus " myth again..its Incendiary rockets with a Magnesium cups filled with a Thermite-type mixture and not phosphorus....
@TheGazeDigitalPlatform3 ай бұрын
It's all surrounded by myths. Even Russia’s attack on Ukraine is a myth. In reality, it’s Ukraine that attacked Russia. Everyone knows that... Everyone who watches Russian propaganda. Meanwhile, real Ukrainian soldiers end up in real hospitals with phosphorus burns.
@besconst3 ай бұрын
it's just misconception, like naming every armoured vehicle - a tank, magnesium is even more "effective" than white phosphorous. using incendiary charges in populated area is a war crime no matter what chemicals it concised
@dannydetonator3 ай бұрын
No, it's both. There is around thousand cases documented of Russisns using chemical weapons in this war, and i don't know if WP is included in these stats (hard to tell but seems mustard gas or other irritants and neurotoxins are used). However they have used WP charges extensively on frontlines, which depending on intention can be not a warcrime. They have shitloads of that stuff since Soviet times and are producing the cheapest stuff they can get. There is absolutely no reason why they wouldn't use it on civilian areas, it's their doctrine. You can easily tell apart if it's magnesium or phosphorus incendiaries from the fire pattern, but it makes no big difference, even if WP is worse.
