Thank you! This was the first video I watched on this channel when I started my GCSE Maths course a year ago. It helped me so much and gave me confidence to actually be able to do it. Through watching all your videos I gradually improved and achieved an 8.

at 6:06 you said (x+7)(x-5), would (x-5)(x+7) also be correct? And at 6:34 i did (x-8)(x+3) and u said (x+3)(x-8) would mine be correct here as well?
@TheGCSEMathsTutor4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely.. it’s like asking if 2 x 5 is the same as 5 x 2 both of these result in the answer 10 no matter which way you write it 😁🙏🏼🙏🏼

Does it matter what way round you get them? On question 1, 3 and 4 (at 6:35) I got the same numbers but put them the other way round, so for Q3 I put (x-5)(x+7) rather than the way you put them.
@TheGCSEMathsTutor3 жыл бұрын
Not at all you can put them in either order so long as the correct sign is with the correct number 😁🙏🏼

at 9:32 why is there a +0 while doing the double brackets
@amina13052 жыл бұрын
How do you know to put single or double brackets? (i used to think when it was x squared at the start then put double and if there was a number before x squared then its single.. but at 10:56 it confuses me.. theres x squared but its in a single bracket..)
@TheGCSEMathsTutor2 жыл бұрын
Just see if there is a constant at the end, if there is an x^2 and no constant at the end it must be a single bracket 😁🙏🏼

For these types of questions for factorise would you get questions such as 3x²+6x-24 would you have these type of questions in my gcses for foundation?
@TheGCSEMathsTutor4 жыл бұрын
In foundation you would only have quadratics to factorise that have a coefficient of 1 for x squared, these type of questions you have mentioned would be in the higher paper only 😁🙏🏼
