Project Hospital continues and we see a spate of people with injured clavicles. I'm not sure what they've all been doing but many clavicles are in a bad way and people are looking to us to help them! However, the problem is that we seem to be lacking the required radiology equipment to properly diagnose the issue, which isn't helpful...
Away from mysteriously injured clavicles, we begin to build our very exciting sounding emergency hospitalisation department! To begin with, we have to move our medical laboratories out of the way so quite a bit of time is spent shuffling them around a bit. In the process we do plan to make one 'super lab', with all the three medical labs in one room.
With the labs moved we get to work on the emergency hospitalisation department but quickly realise that it's quite expensive to buy all of the expensive life-saving machines, so we have to run time on a bit in order to have enough money to keep buying more and more bits and bobs!
Also we send someone for training, one of our Doctors levels up and we see a very disappointed person in our gift shop...

In a real life, you wouldn’t walk straight into the tumour centre (From outside) for hygiene reasons.. so it might make sense to walk into a corridor (normally walls lined up with chairs, beds, wheelchairs) and then have two tumour centres either side? Also wouldn’t have glass doors for privacy! As a nurse I do love this series ❤️ and I’m happy to say I administer a lot of flucoxflotinbob 😅😂

I was thinking the exact same thing, an outside door directly in an operating theatre is not a good idea 😊

Hi penge. Thank you for always cheering me up with your voice. Today I’ve put my father to his final rest, and the best way to think about something else is watching your videos. Thank you again x (Sorry for somewhat wonky english, not my first language.)

I'm sorry to hear about your Father but hopefully if he's now at rest you can get some closure. It isn't easy, believe me I've been there (it's partly the reason this channel exists!) but hang on in there, cling on to the good memories, and hopefully you'll find your way through. Also your English was very good! I wouldn't have guessed it wasn't your first language. Gold star and a cup of tea for you!

Your English is excellent. So good, in fact, that I wouldn't have guessed if you hadn't told us. And I'm a native English teacher of English as a foreign language. 🙂 My sympathies about your father. 🌻

Sending my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. I recently lost my mother so I understand the rollercoaster of emotions you're going through. I too find solace and peace in watching Penge's videos. All the best to you and yours. 😊

23:11 you won't need two trauma center rooms, just more beds in the one trauma center. each bed will need the things attached to it (lights, anesthesiology) but he unattached things (handwashing sink, logging computer) can be shared). i do suggest 1 defibrillator per bed.

I just commented much the same about extra beds wasn't aware you could have multiple beds in one center so that's great to know! Thank you!

Could you add a basic CT scan room? If so, the patients can be treated and they will be admitted into the hospital and have surgeries. With them turned down, you lost 3 overnight patients and 3 surgeries, which will pay back the cost of the CT scan room immediately. BTW, you can train a doctor to have differential diagnosis or hire at least 1 doctor with that skill. When there is an "unclear" patient, you can assign him/her to that doctor and they will be treated. Great video! The hospital looks good!

I don't know if you can have multiple operating beds in the trauma center but usually I have several smaller trauma centers, but give putting several beds in one room and see if it works? Loving this series have fully fallen in love with playing this game! You've definitely jumped in deep playing sandbox straight away running through the 'story/training' mode first was definitely helpful!! Can't wait to see the hospital develop Penge!

Also in the observation room you put the bed socket on the outside of the room you need to turn it around so it's in the actual room

Clavicle = collar bone. Lots was done today and it will be very good when the trauma centre finally is able to be open. Thank you! 🥰 I humbly remind you to add toilets in the new trauma centre so patients don't have to leave the area if they need to use the facilities (a small one in the trauma room and another one in the ward would work).

You will need many operating tables in that trauma center as you will have many many patients requiring trauma care. Not just ambulance arrivals but patient collapse in the hospital. I generally have a large trauma center room with numerous bay's or 'pods' which contain the trauma beds and equipment. Very very expensive to set up so plan ahead. Also, make sure your trauma staff are set to trauma only, otherwise they may be pottering around on wards etc when critical care patients need attention. A trauma doctor with anesthesiology will be a massive help for patients collapsing 👍

advice for a giant observation room - many stretchers or wheelchairs, and many equipment cabinets. I like the little ones you can stick a flower on.

you can have many smaller corridor chunks per department. all it is doing is telling the cleaning crew who's responsibility it is.
@fransmith3255

Penge, there is nothing stopping you from blueprinting the rooms at full size, but making them smaller but functional to start with if you have little money (eg the observation room - just to get a couple beds in), then making them bigger when you do have the money.

The Trauma Centers and the HDU rooms seem to be the ones that have the most demand (in my limited experience). I might try to jam as many beds in those rooms as possible.

When un doubt of diagnosis, hospitalize so they can give them further tests. Also, It seems you can't do heart monitoring, check if you can add more machines at doctors office.
