The complete Mrityunjaya Mantra from Upanishad is rendered with clarity and correct pronunciation by Vedic Pandits - Sri Govind Prakash Ghanapati & Sri Satyanarayana Bhat, with the audio production done by Sri K. Suresh.
The way to correctly pronounce the mantra and the common errors done by chanters is shown for the first 1.5 minutes
To get the full benefit of the mantra, all three verses from the Veda need to be recited, using the correct syllable in the correct Maatra, and correct swaras (intonation) as per Vedic Rules.
The mantra should NOT be sung like a song / bhajan / sloka.
By ignorance, only the Mantra 1 is recited in most places as Mrityunjaya Mantra, that too with different pronunciation and swaras.
Mantra from the Vedas cannot be changed by humans - neither for the Grammar nor for the “Metre / Chandas”.
We must recite the Mantra in the same format - as given by our Rishis - to get the full benefit of the Mantra.
The entire chant is recited 16 times, with the script in Sanskrit & Phonetic English provided for learners.

Meaning of the Mantras:
Mantra 1:
We worship the three-eyed Lord (Siva) who is fragrant and who increasingly nurtures the disciples. By Worshipping Him, we easily slip off from death like the ripened cucumber separates itself easily, from the binding stem. Let us be never separated from Immortality.
Mantra 2:
O Death, those thousand and ten thousand snares (net) which you have laid for slaying man; with the power of our worship and devotion, we will remove them all.
Mantra 3:
Let this be an oblation made to Mṛtyu, the creator of death.
Repetition of the same Mantra twice implies that two separate oblations are made to the Devata in the sacred fire, with a view to destroy all the sins connected with the person who makes the offering.
