such a musical tragedy, Lalo was able to convey by capturing the mentality of LEE, no one after Bruce Lee could present martial arts in such pathos as a dramatic hypostasis of a fighter. He gave it his all, and the point is not that he was able to overcome or not, dozens of fighters. How, all this, he presented to the viewer. This is a masterpiece, LI's charisma will remain in the memory of mankind!

I always loved the symbolism that Bruce put in the introduction of Jim Kelly and Saxton’s appearance… I know he did it purposefully too. Jim Kelly - Is walking his way thru the city, has to cross the street… Has to adjust to buses in order to get across. John Saxton - Sitting in a fucking stroller as Asian man carries him on foot thru Hong Kong. Lmao I love Bruce.

I had to scroll down quite a bit to find anybody recognizing Lalo shifrin's contribution to the greatness of this film. I only came onto this to listen to the music. A few days ago I acquired a film on DVD that I hadn't seen in quite sometime called, the new kids which I didn't know before but found out upon reading the Box was scored by Lalo schifrin. Anyway, I highly recommend the movie and it got me to Thinking about Lalo schifrin and I have been looking into some of his work. An awesome Talent!

Yes, I agree. Schifrin’s music contributed a lot to the impact of this great martial arts movie. A great example is the scene where Lee’s sister Su Lin is confronted by a large group of men who harass her and attempt to rape her, but the woman fights back. The men chase her and trap her in an old warehouse. The music really adds to the impact of the moment, from the men picking on her initially, to the frantic chase, to the end where Su Lin kills herself rather than submit to being raped. The music is as impacting as Hermann’s dramatic music in the 1960 movie “Psycho”.

BRIEF COMMENT: YES (RIP) TO ALL 3 OF THESE GREAT MARTIAL ARTS ACTORS, NEVER TO BE REPLICATED. THIS FILM HAS BEEN AVAILABLE ON DVD (SPECIAL EDITION) FOR A LONG TIME. IT'S ALSO IN THE CONGRESSIONAL FILM REGISTRY DUE TO BEING "OF HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE." SENSEI BRUCE LEE HAS BEEN COMMITTED AT LAKEVIEW CEMETARY IN SEATTLE, WA ALONG W/HIS LATE SON BRANDON LEE FOR YEARS NOW. HARD TO BELIEVE THIS FILM WAS MADE JUST A TAD OVER 50 YEARS AGO!
