From what I saw in Dan's video, this device looks like 1->4 channel spliter and 2 channel stereo mixer in one box with a blend knob/expression pedal control how the signal is mixed. Kinda neat idea of signal routing.

I do almost the same thing with a boss ls2, to me the boss ls2 is a highly underrated pedal, and its a great tool for a lot of things like, amp switching,to blend effects with the 2 loops, switch between 2 pedal chains,goes through 1,2 or 3 amps at the same time,or use more than 1 instrument in the same amp,and posibly more...

@metalfatigue2 ай бұрын
@@JonGUK People spend $200 for a treble booster that's 3 wires and a a transistor. This is stereo in/out, two loops, mixer/blender, individual gains for loops, expression pedal and phase. And I'm sure they don't make many, since most people don't even know this capability exists in a pedal, let alone what you can do with it.

Is this comparable to the OBNE Signal Blender?
@AndyDemos10 ай бұрын
They both employ parallel mixing, yes. Very different approaches though-- The Wetter uses a master mix knob or use of an expression to blend an effect in/out or mix between two effects in parallel. The OBNE has footswitches for each channel, so there's no gradual changing between sources but this has its own advantages like a loop switcher. Thanks for asking!

Seem like a great parallel mixer, but does it have a kill-dry function? The reason I'm asking is because I want to build a Wet/Dry/Wet rig where I'd like to have the capability to have 100% wet through my wet dedicated amps and let the dry amp handle any dry effects.

Not trying to bash, this could fill a need that I’m currently trying to make happen. Could I accomplish the same thing with a Boss MS-3 by assigning 2 loops to an expression pedal? I wanna run a fuzz and drive in parallel to get a HUGE DOOM metal tone! Been doing this for a while using modeling, but wanna do it with analog pedals and a tube amp. I figured I could do the same parallel drive/fuzz setup plus have the onboard effects for the same price. Any input would be appreciated!

Nice demo! Did you not do a clean blend of the sound into a drive or something because it's too obvious? I would've liked to hear some clean signal mixed into compressor or slight overdrive to hear the extra clarity.

So it's a bit like a Boss LS-2 except bigger and more expensive ?
@RadityoPramAdi5 жыл бұрын
Far mor feature than LS 2
@Crazyfistish5 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I was thinking... The only things this has over an LS-2 are: - Expression control - Trails bypass (turn the Wetter off and reverb/delay trails still carry on) - Latching remote switch control (why would you need this? Why wouldn't this be on the board?) - 2 modes, either crossfade between A and B, or add B on top of A (this can be done with the gain levels on an LS-2, though you would have to bend down and do that manually) - Reverse phase (but nobody will use that) If you don't care about any of this stuff then yeah, it's just a more expensive LS-2. I just use mine to blend a direct bass signal underneath a drive/fuzz sound so all the extra features on this would be overkill! In fact, the LS-2 even has the extra feature to switch between inputs and outputs, so you can switch between guitars or amps.
@Crazyfistish5 жыл бұрын
Also, I only just noticed in this video that the only way to switch between trails bypass and normal blend is by unplugging the power and switching it on again holding the footswitch down... So it's only one or the other, there is no way to switch this mid-song.
@RadityoPramAdi5 жыл бұрын
@@Crazyfistish I probably go with something like Switchblade 8F, since it controls series+parallel signal chain and effect switching in/out.
@jeremyjoris74685 жыл бұрын
@@Crazyfistish The thing that would make me choose the LS-2 over the Wetter is that, with the latter, in order to mix your clean signal you have to sacrifice one of the loops. So parallel overdrives with clean signal is not possible but on the other hand the added features of the Wetter make it more interesting for mixing mono modulations, delays, and reverbs without losing clarity, considering they already have a mix knob. Erratum: It seems I've been lied to. The LS2 can't mix a dry signal when there's pedals in the 2 loops. Nice to learn about it just before buying it ^^
@lolobuggah26704 жыл бұрын
Aside from the expression pedal, can these same functions be performed by the the boss LS-2?

Guess what folks... there are NO new pedals out there. These pedals all are the same thing. Just a different name, higher price!!! Video coming soon
@AndyDemos5 жыл бұрын
Following that logic, all cars are the same! Truthfully, parallel mixing isn't new but the feature set with this pedal is. It is not a Boss line switcher, AB box or X Blender. None of those pedals can do what this pedal does. Andy
@brexxebender12045 жыл бұрын
@@AndyDemos The logic and ( free) opinion is that there are only sooo many effects that can be made. Take Strymon for example, how many reverb pedals or " version " of reverbs have they made? I dont have any stake in these pedals, ya see I dont get em for free... You know who actually makes ORIGINAL sounding pedals... Piotr Zapart. They're expensive BUT I dont lose % 50 of the price at resale on used gear... they maintain their value. And yes lol, theoretically, all cars are the same, say what? Lol... How is this Wetter pedal functionally that much different from the Morley ABY Mix pedal at one third the price?
@Bealzeebozzo5 жыл бұрын
Full stereo functionality for one, two different blending mode functions, expression pedal controllable.....and then some. But sure you could use the Morley ABY Mix pedal, the same as you could use the old WetBox unit for the same functionality, minus stereo, blend controls, expression controls...
