This speaks really well for Triumph and their standard level of fit, finish and reliability. I'm going to link this to a friend, her wife works at a Triumph dealership and might be interested in hearing about this. Well done, especially driving it to the rally, then through the rally (and back home, presumably).

Awesome and congrats so far. I'm nervous and rethinking the upper crash bars on mine, as there are just far too many reports of mounting engine case bolts shearing off with those upper bars....every mfg too across the board. So, I'll prob skip them sorry to say. (90% sheared off in NON FALL incidents like vibration/torsion fatigue failures, even wiht the NEW Triumph upper crash bars also). Be safe and thanks again!!
@TheGirlOnABike2 жыл бұрын
Oh wow. Fair enough. I did not have any issues
@MLoms2 жыл бұрын
I confirm this issue. I hoped that new triumph upper crash bars will help. I feel that these non fall cases are all to be prevented by constantly checking if it didn't go loose and the torque is up to specs. But who does that? Riders before rallies I guess ;) I went with SW motech that don't use this faulty mounting point.

Did you adjust the suspension for off road? It’s supposed to take the take angle to about 27.5 degrees. I imagine that would help out a lot in the sand.
@adriantompson2 жыл бұрын
think you are a very good rider to ride such a bike . hope 900 rally pro has got a setting with no traction control . as that is why i sold my 800xcx as kept getting stuck because of the traction control working too much . have a good xmas and have fun.
@TheGirlOnABike2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Adrian. It sure does. It had off road pro mode which turns everything off in one click. Super ace mode to have
@Kimsand520 Жыл бұрын
Did you do anything to keep it in your ride mode of choice? I have seen that the Rally Pro keepes resetting into road mode every time you cycle the ignition, with that big roadbook blocking the view?
@TheGirlOnABike Жыл бұрын
A legal requirement is for it to start with traction / abs etc on. The tiger has a one click back to off road pro button so the fastest of any adv bike I’ve tried.

Hi, i have the same bike and i was interested in installing upper bars, but all of them damaged the tanks when tiping over and/or broke the bolts in the upper mount. Your bike as the new design from triumph, did they protect the bike 100% and also did the front alu beak break?

Yeah they worked amazingly. Many many drop’s including on rocky riverbeds and no damage thankfully 💪

what do you think is better for off-road, tubes or tubeless, when it comes to fixing and repairing, must be easier being tubeless, unless there is a tear and not a hole to plug, but then just pop in a tube, done it before for my old triumph thunderbird 900, stuck a tube in a tubeless and ran it for more than a thousand miles without an issue
@TheGirlOnABike2 жыл бұрын
I’d defo go mousses first. Then tubeless for the reasons you say. Tube last last resort. Purely for easy and reliability
@BeanieBiker_AutisticRider2 жыл бұрын
@The Girl On A Bike literally just changed my caste wheels to spoked on the F750GS, yes it doesn't have the 21inch for easy rolling over the bigger things like logs and larger rocks, but she does just fine offroading. Just fitted karoo 3s as well, awesome tyre for the dirt, and feels good on the grey deck, any future rallies on the agenda and has Triumph given you the bike long-term to give another rally a shot. All the best Vanessa 👍
@robivogler169 Жыл бұрын
Sry for all the comments on videos, but I'm learning here... ^^ What are these "Moose" Tires?!
@TheGirlOnABike Жыл бұрын
The best way to learn is by asking! A mousse is essentially a thick foam tube that replaces a regular tube, maintaining a steady pressure without air, and is essentially unable to get a puncture 🙂 hope that helps

No suspension changes at all. I technically could have tweaked it but with the suspension spring not being the right one for my weight it would have barely made a difference. It felt good to be fair.
