The movie makers were going for a "Queen Elizabeth Tudor" look for Winifred-- red curly hair shaped like a heart, and red lipstick, with blushy cheeks. Do a search on Queen Elizabeth Tudor in Google images, you will see the resemblance. But also, they made her pale with dark contours because she has been DEAD a while, after all. So they wanted that to come through. As for the lipstick, the women in Queen E. Tudor's day sometimes did their lips like that-- only the front, not the sides/corners. There are some images with Q. E. Tudor looking that way too.

Watching this 2 years later in 2022 after the sequel came out, the Hocus-pocus costumes are INSANELY EXPENSIVE 😱😱😱, even walmarts versions are hella expensive, and every store has their own versions of the 3 sisters costumes, some, like Spirit, have several versions from shorter dresses to an over hundred dollar almost movie quality version of the costumes, every single one of them are different and it sucks you have to buy the wigs and capes separately, I saw loads of Hocus-pocus costumes, but hardly any wigs 🤔🤔🤔, you did an AMAZING job with both sister looks, I hope to see a Mary look next year🥰🥰🥰
