Stun doesn't affect flying. You have to spend at least one action a round to fly or you start falling. If you're stunned 3 then you haven't spent an action flying and you fall.

​@@alexsbeckerFalling isn't an action, it's more like a condition (lower-case C) of having gravity effect you, so one couldn't really argue they spend an action to fall. One could do a Step action to step out into open air, and then as a result of that end up falling. Same if you start a Stride into open air (or a trap door opens), the falling *interrupts* the rest of the Stride and you lose the rest of your Speed. If you can do Reactions you could still do the Grab a Ledge action to arrest your fall. In the case of the dinosaur, they could not do Reactions while stunned so couldn't Grab an Edge, but the Fly movement action that is required each turn to not start falling keeps you from doing so until the start of your next turn.

Joe, I think you're looking at the 5e forums on Giant in the Playground. In 5e, Stunned reduces a creatures movement to 0, and a flying creature falls if its speed is reduced to 0. Stunned in PF2 only means losing actions.

Solid ep, interesting encounters and not too punishing, much needed imo. I've seen it mentioned a ton during my time in the ttrpg space, apparently you'd fall about 500 feet in 6 seconds. However, everyone is acting in that same 6 second window. 6th second he's stunned, 7th second he's out of stun start of his turn in combat. Moot point though as it shouldn't have fallen at all by raw, even though I kinda feel it should. On the topic of Stunned, it was confirmed that Can't Act means no actions at all. So if you are Stunned on your turn, from a reaction, such as held Flurry of Blows, your turn is done and you still have to pay the action for stunned at the start of your next turn. It's real nasty. PG622 in core Gaining and Losing Actions, not sure in Player Core as my book is at my other place. I specifically remember it being addressed either with remaster or by Paizo, as a lot of people think it's too strong, though it's rare that it happens in my opinion - currently lvl 18 and played a good part of that with a Monk in thr party.

What Joe is failing to take into account is, by the PF2E description of action economy, being Stunned takes up 1/3 of a turn, or 2 seconds. If a flying creature stops for 2 seconds, they don't plummet out of the sky, they just lose whatever momentum they had

Personal antithesis is individually based. You would have to do exploit vulnerability again if they dont have a weakness. Mortal weakness does apply to other of the same creatures (there is a feat later to expand). That said, mortal weakness does last till the next time you use it but be aware several of the implement abilities work on the target of your exploit vulnerability. So, if you kill your target who has a mortal weakness, you still get the bonus dmg versus the others but you cant use implement abilities requiring the target of your exploit vulnerability. You would have to do it again. It wont effect your initial mirror implement ability but just a heads up for the future. Also just want to make sure you are doing your dmg correct. You should be getting 1d6+str+implement empowerment+mortal weakness/personal antithesis. So at this level assuming +3 str your minimim dmg should be 1+3+2+3=9 A lot of people do forget to add implement empowerment.

My understanding of Personal Antithesis that is that it applies to a specific creature, not creature type. Its personal. So you would need to make another esoteric lore check against a second creature to get that bonus. Damage from a personal antithesis is a weakness and is not doubled on a crit, which was stated in the show. However Matthew must have damaged it since Barnes did 24 damage, which is even and after adding +3 to a doubled number is must be odd...

FYI, for the Remaster checkbox in Foundry, it's in the Publication section, it doesn't switch their stats, it's just so you can see what book it's from, what license it was published under, and who the author was. Why they made those fields editable is beyond me, but it doesn't do what Troy might think/hope it does.

Creatures generally do have higher hp. Though, Hubert uses the giant porcupine stats with the weak template, giving him exactly 22 hp. Troy fudged the numbers - or forgot to use the weak template as they patchwork between Foundry and Demiplane (really would be way smoother if they just used Foundry 😂 Troy's said on Fodder that he fudges HP and numbers. For a guy who "lives and dies by the dice" is hypocritical, but that's Troy all over 😂.

Curious if Skid has a story reason why he only does cantrip and doesn't use his 1st rank spells? Soothe or fear would help out. Also Sydney spell strike is cool but it's good to have other attacks for versatility. Many Magus player get bored cuz they just focus on spellstrike everytime. Just wanted to put that in your mind. If it has a natural fly speed it is okay. If its ability to fly comes from a spell, feat, requires a skill check exc. it takes an action.

to fly because it’s a movement action like stride action if you have a natural fly speed. Hovering is an action only if you do not have a natural fly speed. It’s like saying your character needs to spend an action to stand. Or a fish needs to spend an action not to sink. It specifies these mechanics under aerial combat rules. Reiterating in some vehicle combat rules. It doesn’t take you an action not to move or not to change something unless you need a check like you’re trying to maintain control. You could treat it like ship-to- airship combat with both of them moving. But Troy already said he’s playing it as if they’re hovering like a regular party encounter & made the moving cinematic. A regular encounter on the deck of a ship doesn’t require flying enemies to spend a movement to move with the ship. You could & make it more like ship to airship. But no by the rules it would not need to spend an action to avoid losing altitude. If it’s a spell yes, if it’s a skill check yes, if it’s a riding/driving check yes. & if you are attacked on the deck of a ship with your party members swinging you don’t necessarily count it ship to ship combat. You certainly can if you choose to control the ship & want that type of gameplay shooting projectiles at them at a distance. It would give the monsters far more things they could do to hurt you. Troy chose to count it as a regular combat rather than ship to ship. As if it were stationary above them. No action to maintain altitude. They also used melee attacks. If it were like ship combat they’d need to shoot. Creatures were noted as 15ft up regularly out of melee range, opting to treat them as a melee encounter.
