In the dvd of this, he explains all the parts but the bridge note for note, and putting it together in guitar pro would take a couple of hours max.

people who say shredding doesnt impress you and playing isnt just about how many notes you can play, i agree if its for the WHOLE SONG. but he builds up to it very well, building tension and releasing when he starts shredding like a fucking psycho

Andy should be admired, but it's easy to say fuck, I'll never play this good, and just give up
@MrRupsiee11 жыл бұрын
if you can't play it, become better until you can, it's just hard work but at least most people can do it with enough determination. i play for two years now and i can't play this yet, but i'll keep on improving myself til i can. it'll probably take some time, but i have time.
@davejohnsonmusic11 жыл бұрын
When I was young, I practiced everyday with a metronome trying to break the speed barrier. I just couldn't alternate pick really fast. By my late 20's, I realized that I would never be a shredder like all my heroes. Instead of trying to emulate them, I applied the things that I DID really well and found other ways to play fast. For instance, using more legato, mixing up note groupings across scales and altering my picking hand in certain ways. By doing so, I created my own style. My point is, that eventually in your music career you have to stop trying to play like others and be yourself. Though I don't listen to this stuff anymore, I can appreciate Andy's talent and love the way he rips it... so aggressive, but at the same time I feel I may even have some qualities that he may not. We all have them, it's just a matter of when we discover them
@kickthechair3511 жыл бұрын
MrRupsiee If you've played for two years it's not a probem to can't play his songs ^^ I've been playing for 3 years and i can play angel of darkness, but i caught a tendinitis cause i played about 3 hours per day... it's up to you :)
@MrRupsiee11 жыл бұрын
kickthechair35 hmm, that doesn't sound too healthy, but i don't play as much on average. i know a guy who also plays a lot every day and he's often seen with bandages on his fingers because he's been practicing too much.

Come on guys, ONE MILLION HITS FOR ANDY JAMES!
@thegodphreaker13 жыл бұрын
@bnino1216 The wristband doesn't do anything. It removes excess noise, but it also makes the guitar strings a lot more rigid, hard to play, AND hard to bend. Andy is a great guitarist, the hairband doesn't mean a thing or affect his playing skills or sound in virtually any way.

This could of almost been on John petrucci's solo record. Mode and rhythm wise great clean playing yet again Andy love it!
@Cerberus103013 жыл бұрын
@tyronegodfreyraman It's not a capo. It's just a hair band (ironic for andy) that is used to limit excess string noise when doing fast passages like sweeping. It also gives your tone a more suppressed clean sound because the strings don't vibrate as much.
@Stubzmeister11 жыл бұрын
Proud to say, I'm learning this ENTIRE song, and I will be posting a video of me doing it in the next couple years when I master it.

It's not Misleading in the slightest. This is the name of a song written by Andy James. Just because you've never heard it or another band or artist has the same song title for something of their own doesn't make it misleading.
