+Lewys Cousins I agree this was a great tribute - I've listened to it so many times, and as wonderful as it would be to hear it in the charts, I think it's nice to have it as just a one off. The emotion would probably be lost when recorded in the studio and only having one performance kind of makes it extra special if you know what I mean. Like a final goodbye.

Lifelong Bowie fan, ever since seeing his Station to Station (Isolar) tour back in 1976. I was for the first time in my life struck with how deep a loss it can be to lose someone i never actually met. I miss having him on the planet looking forwards for us, forecasting what's to come. This was my first intro to Lorde and i've been a fan of hers since. And yes Bowie's statement about her being the future of music, that can't hurt, eh? So sweet, still pierces my heart listing to this. Thank you for posting it!

Yeah, I really don't know why they didn't do that tbh. A lot of live performances like this get albums or singles whether it's a cover or their own song. As far as I know, there's no version of Lorde's tribute to Bowie on any music services like iTunes or Spotify and there's no version higher than 192kbps (KZbin scales this down to 128kbps anyway). I'll add an update in the description if I ever find anything!

The best tribute/cover done for Bowie of course with Bowies orig band... just as good as the tribute Bowie and Annie did for Freddy Mercury w/ Under pressure but to get the full effect you have to watch Lordes performance with this song and the band.
