Of course, deathclaws are also trivialized by the riot shotgun, once you've taken the Shotgun Surgeon and And Stay Back! perks (and by the time I have both of those, I always have at least one rank of the Lord Death challenge perk).

The first time I played new Vegas was on my friends Xbox in high school. I didn’t have my own console so I knew nothing of fallout or even how to play video games at all. I, naturally, headed straight north through deathclaw territory as my friend kept telling me I couldn’t go that way. I eventually, after way less deaths than you’d think, found the magical ledge and slipped my way past to Vegas and began killing fiends without ever starting a quest. It’s funny that the barely glitchable ledge you used is just a thing everyone who has tried to circumvent new Vegas’s structure finds eventually. I knew exactly where you were when you mentioned it. I’ve never gone that way in the 8-10 other play throughs I’ve done since, but it might be about time to dust off the noob strat and go eat me a Mr House.
