Ideal for filling bottles if no dive shop nearby

You have convinced me to keep taking my bottles to dive shop. By the time I have eaten a Big Mac bottled filled £7

I get what you're saying but with a compressor you can fill your rifles directly so you don't have to take your bottles as frequently. And with rifles being able to take more pressure as time goes on...up to 300 bar, you'll definitely be going more frequently if solely reliant on bottles. The flip side...fewer trips to Maccies

Cannot help but think if youhave your own Hills compressor , why stress it out and fill to a full 300 bar every time. I will be looking at buying one soon, with the intention of doing a 250 fill, obviously a little more often, and give the compressor an easier time. Less heat, less stress. Good insight into using one though thanks for the video. To me as a professionally trained mechanical engineer that has worked in and also taught pneumatics, these are by far the best designed and best made compressor for its size on the market.

You're right...you wouldn't stress it out, but the video was just to prove it can fill a 7 lt tank and to show how long it takes. Ordinarily you'd just fill your rifles straight from the compressor. All the best and thanks for taking the time to comment!

Very useful video answers a lot of questions I wanted to ask my gun shop told me I should not fill a bottle with it but you obviously can

I think your gun shop needs to have a chat with Hills! It can fill bottles up to 7lt capacity. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. All the best

My dive shop charges £10 to fill my 3litre bottle to 200 bar, does that sound reasonable, it’s an hours drive away?

Not to me...my local range charges £6 to fill a 7lt bottle.

Hi Mark. Good demonstration of the Hill pump. If i could offer one suggestion. Whenever you fill your bottle or direct to the rifle from a pump, it would be better to have the pump on the ground and the tank raised just in case any moisture persists in the system.

Hi Karl, first off...thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I normally have the compressor on the floor when I fill my rifles and will do when I fill the bottles. But for filming I needed to raise if off the ground so I could get it in shot. That said, I struggle to see how raising it off the ground would make any difference. The pump is pushing air through the system up to 300 bar. Surely there's more than enough pressure there to vapourize and lift water to the top of the highest building on the planet. Either way, the pump is fitted with Hills dry pack system for added protection against moisture ingress. Thanks again for watching and hope you don't take my reply abruptly in any way. I always struggle to reply by text without sounding harsh or stand offish. All the best
