First of all, Italy looks amazing! Secondly, I couldn't help but notice the cleanliness of the entire factory. The offices are as pristine as the labs. Right down to the machining areas and assembly. Beretta really takes pride in cleanliness and I can respect that. Amazing!

Thaks for yet another great video! You're 100%+ correct in just how L O U D the hammer forging machines are. I was in an armorer class at the Remington factory a couple of years before they went belly up. One of the days we got a moderately in depth tour of the factory. The first stop was the barrel shop where they had several of those hammer forge machines going. One of the operators had to yell just about at the top of his lungs to be heard over the noise.

Spectacular! I can’t help but wonder though what European energy prices are doing to their bottom line. Can you imagine how much energy it takes to energize an operation as large as that? Wow!
@erichasu737
@erichasu737 Жыл бұрын
It's not very energy intensive industry and energy expenditure consists only a few % of total production costs, so even if the energy price multiplies, it still constitutes a minor expense. In terms of mass production machining industry, this is at most a medium sized factory, although they have cramped the production of their entire catalogue under the same premises. However, the enterprise owns several subsidiaries around the world.

I had a chance to buy a Beretta 92F. I liked it because Mel Gibson had one in Lethal Weapon. I didn't realize how iconic Beretta was. Interesting enough the movie gun is the original Beretta 92F that Bruce Willis used in Die Hard and was also used by Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon.

That is a fantastic part of Italy that we went by but was not a part of our tour. I need to go back and explore this region in detail. Does the factory do regular tours or is it by invitation only? There are several firearms that they make I would love to have and money is not a problem. If I still lived in the USA I could purchase most anything in their production line, however here in Greece the government is run by a bunch of arse holes who fear for their jobs considering they are corrupt and therefore ownership of a pistol requires a bunch of paperwork, rifles are illegal and shotguns are limited to certain models and lengths.

I have a Beretta Silver Pigeon III Sporting in a 410/28 gauge 2 barrel set with a EELL wood upgrade purchased in May of 2021. Love the gun it's a perfect fit and one day may be the only gun I shoot in 4 gun Skeet competitions. However there is a problem with the gun that Beretta USA refuses to acknowledge. That is that the bottom tube for the 28 gauge barrel set was not properly sweated and it leaks. This causes cleaning solution to get wicked into the joint and the pressure generated by firing then pushes this cleaning solution out at the front of the monoblock. I have pictures of this joint fresh after cleaning, after 25 rounds of Skeet and after 50 rounds of Skeet that clearly show the accumulation of cleaning solution. BTW, the cleaning solution used is Ballistol, a combined cleaner, oil and preservative. At some point I may do a submerged pressure test to clearly demonstrate this defect but I suspect it might take a full day to clear the joint of Ballistol so that gas bubbles will show. If you read this could you pass this information along to Beretta Italy.

Great film documentary, I own 3 Beretta shotguns and they have all shot perfectly. My first 686 Onyx was bought in 1989 and I have used it for everything from sporting clays to shooting geese and duck. I also bought the 686 silver pigeon and the A400 light. All of them work perfectly, and I’ve been shooting excellently with these shotguns. I even won the local church competition, bravo Beretta.

It’s fascinating, but I have to say I just bought a brand new Silver Pigeon 3 and it’s been disappointing. The new “high gloss finish” started flaking off so GMK have oiled the stock as they can’t replace the glossy OEM finish, ejectors were so out of time it was ejecting the cartridge into the breach, there is a sharp spike in the action where the CNC has caught the edge, and now it’s got a split in the forend. I take care of my stuff (my old SP 5 is like new 15 years on and the quality was great) but this new Beretta has been utter crud. Never again, I’ll save up for a something more special.
