Yea same, thought it would be a whole lot different but nope thankfully. Also @Thiccnic using the U key to unlink the video from its audio clip and then delete it from there is technically faster to do it that way but yea just another workflow method. Might be learning DaVinci Resolve soon tho maybe heard good things about the color correction hmm...

I used Vegas 18, was very disappointed, the new stabilisation system does not work, MOV Files are often corrupt and can't be red by the program and the program crashes all the time, sometimes it does not playback at all. Similar things happened in my test version of Vegas 17, do you have any ideas or any other experience?

I remembered watching this before I pirated Vegas Pro 17. And at first I felt a little bit worried. But after using it, I found it that it isn't all that hard and complicated. Now I can make commentary videos and memes that look professional and not cheaply made. Opening at a new .veg file in Vegas Pro feels like I'm staring right at a blank canvas, ready to create anything on there. Now it's been like probably more than half a year and I switched to the Edit Steam Edition of Vegas Pro 17 Thanks, Nick

This is over a year old video, and it is still active, and it is the first video that shows to me when i type in "Vegas Pro 17 tutorial". And to be honest, i'm not surprised, it actually is a good tutorial for beginners, and this must have helped everyone. For myself i have been editing with Filmora 9 and Filmora X. I had to switch because they upgraded security, and the free license keys wasn't working lol. I had a lot of expierience in Filmora, and other editing softwares, and i was actually good at editing. When i switched to vegas, i allready was shocked by the options and really lot of other sh*t i could use. It is more complicated, but really it has way more to offer, and it will take you a few days to understand almost the whole software. Anyways, thanks for helping, maybe there can be more advanced tutorial, for more profesional editing. Keep going!

Thanks for uploading this tutorial. When I first got Vegas 9, I was totally clueless and just sort of figured things out by screwing around and eventually figured out enough to do simple effects and get my casual videos suitable for sharing on KZbin. I finally have Vegas 17 and a 'puter with a RTX 2080 video card now and be more productive with my editing and rendering. So yeah, nice to have this tutorial to review things I sort of know already and discover new things to work with.

Hi. I would recommend one little thing, when you are explaining shortcuts like you said 'S' for split, try to show its location too in the software. For example Split tool is at the bottom. It helps people to be more friendly with the interface. Secondly, how do you zoom a part? I mean when are saying, import media, then you take your mouse top left and zoomed that area. How? You can tell me my comment too, if you don't wanna describe this part in a video. Would be helpful. I was trying to learn Premiere pro but then i thought lets try SVP once and i have watched very short video before this one and i find it really easy. Video is good though, easily explained. Please, keep making more tutorials for SVP on new tools and tricks. I would like to learn more. Thanks for the video.

Even while you ramble sometimes, like you say, I think it's important to have some sort of TOC in your video description! It helps people refer to parts they know the least and skip parts that come naturally to them! If it's a long video with different kinds of small tutorials, a TOC is very important.

im just starting to use this software as of yesterday, but i never switch settings without googling benefits. DONT SWITCH TO BEST RENDERING QUALITY IF YOURE NOT RESIZING FOOTAGE. as in, if you have 1080p source footage, and are rendering out 1080p edited footage, youre genuinely increasing your render time by 2x for no reason. this option only affects the resizing method/quality. if youre down or upscaling your footage at the same time (maybe 720p for youtube from your 1080p native resolution) then go for it, otherwise KEEP IT ON GOOD.
