This is such a great melody. I've learned it on banjo, fiddle, guitar, and now harmonica. Great lesson, thanks!

Three first bluegrass jam standards folks learn in G (or A, with capo 2 on gee-tar) with the myxolydian scale are this, "Red Haired Boy," and "Salt Creek." Good, simple lesson here! I have picked it up on my 5th day on the harp. Thanks!

I love bluegrass/old time fiddle tunes! Are they best played on an alternate tuning Harmonica like Paddy or the melody makers? Which do you recommend?
@TheHarmonicaBarge2 жыл бұрын
If you want to play very fast melodies , paddy r can certainly help. It will give you a different style though so there’s always a trade off. :) Maybe Check out some players who use paddy and see if you like their sound
