*ing amazing! I never realised, when I decided to get my first harp, that it was such a complex instrument. Always so much more to learn. Should keep me going to the grave ;) 🎵

Thank you ED for this great back to basics rejuvenator! Whenever I start to feel "stale" in my playing you seem to know when to upload a lesson that puts the element of interest and fun back into playing harp! 😎👍

Ed, your playing is jaw dropping to me! Your technique is amazing and I believe pretty unique. In trying to exercise this rhythm, the hardest thing I struggle with is stacking my breathing. I just can’t exhale enough to keep going for long. How do you release enough air to keep going? Thanks
@TheHarmonicaBarge5 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for the compliments! Yes the air intake factor is tricky. Try and really use the out breath to get that air out ( without it sounding like you're doing it:) you can also try and get a bit out your nose when you breathe out - this may help. And build up the stamina, keep adding 10 secs- say play for 30 secs, then 40 etc till you're up to a minute

sometimes while out and about i will be practicing breathing patterns for songs without the harmonica whilst getting no funny looks from anyone. but it's great practice so i won't care even if i do get the odd funny look. i wonder will people look at i sideways walking around in public practicing that glocal stop for the throat vibrato? 🤔 great lesson as always Brother, many Thanks 😊...

As soon as you mentioned the drumstick bounce it reminded me that I bought Levy's Rhythms of Breath ages ago and haven't done anything with it. 😱

There's a lot of info in that book! :) Learning out of books can seem like a mammoth task too, sometimes best to just pick one or two exercises to work on
