19:16 I think its possible cause from how I see it, the npc's can still disobey ainz if its for his safety like the shaltear incident so I think lying to him would still be possible considering that albedo sees it as protecting him from his weakness

As a fan of Overlord I really love that you watch lore after watching the anime, it really is very good. My advice, besides watching the movie, is to listen to the drama CDs, they are on KZbin, they are very good.

btw. if you read the LNs you'll find it confirmed that Albedo knows she is acting against the wishes of Ainz with her squad. If I remember correctly there was a scene in the most recent release in which Ainz was absolutely furious, he called Albedo and Albedo recognizing his fury worries that Ainz might have realized what she and her squad were doing/planning, to the point she thought she might get killed. So I'd say calling her behavior a betrayal seems fitting, even if it stems from her love for Ainz.

So you see, in Vol16 (the anime ends in Vol14) some important story stuff happened and Ainz brought a prisoner to the Ice Prison. This is what happened when Ainz contacted Albedo: (don't worry, i removed the spoilers. This is only concerning Albedo.) These thoughts on her mind, she made her way through the pile on her desk when- “Albedo! Come to the Ice Prison.” This Message made her jump. She sensed a towering rage behind her master’s thoughts. Once you hit a certain level, resistance to mind control was vital. Charm or Dominate could be instantly fatal otherwise. Every floor guardian had measures in place. Despite that, Albedo felt a twinge of fear. She might have been able to null the side effects, but it was impossible to ignore the raw emotion behind them. He knew. Albedo was working on something behind her master’s back. Had he found out? Had Demiurge sniffed it out and informed him? It was still at the experimental phase. She had not fully deployed it yet. Would that engender this much fury? She could think of no other reason why such anger would be directed her way. What was this? Albedo hastily used the ring’s power, moving to the Ice Prison. Her master stood before the cage housing the (Prisoner) they’d captured. Behind him stood the domain guardian, Neuronist, with Aura and Mare. His expression was unchanged, but she could still sense the towering fury. Albedo immediately prostrated herself before him. “I cannot apologize enough!” “……F-for what?” He sounded genuinely confused. She swiftly concluded the cause of his fury was not what she’d imagined. This kowtow was a poor choice. But she’d thought of an excuse on her way here. Her master might be vastly more intelligent that her, but given enough time, she could form plans as good as his. _Or at least I hope so._ “If anything in Nazarick has displeased you and incurred your wrath, Lord Ainz, then that is the fault of the captain of the guardians-myself. I besmirch Lord Tabula Smaragdina’s reputation. Thus, the only possible response is to bow my head and profess my sorrow.” “…………No, Albedo, that’s not right at all. First, let me correct a misunderstanding. This fury is not directed at Nazarick at all.” Albedo breathed a sigh of relief. Not performative-from the heart. “Th-then what is the cause?” “Raise your head and stand before me. I do not enjoy having those who are faultless bow before me.” “Thank you, Lord Ainz.” Albedo rose to her feet. The twins momentarily looked dubious, which concerned her, but that was not important now.

I'd watch your Overlord recap movies reaction. While mostly a recycle, there's so much to Overlord that you can catch new things in a rewatch, especially after taking a deep dive into the lore.

I agree, there's some great scenes from the novels cut for the anime but included in the movies. Additionally, I always love seeing reactors surprise when they watch ple ple pleiades.

The 1st recap movie has only two new scenes, which is the first minute of the movie shows Ainz before logging on the game, then the Hamusuke fight is extended as well near the end. Then in the 2nd recap movie, There is an extended scene with Shalltear and Sebas in the carriage together near the start. Both recap movies have their own ending songs too. One is called "Crazy Scary Holy Fantasy" by MYTH and ROID (who did opening 3 and endings 1,2, and 4). Then the 2nd ending song "Laughter Slaughter" by OxT (who did opening 1,2,4 and ending 3). So you guys also mentioned "Ple Ple Pleiades", it is a short chibi side series of Overlord that is very fun and has interesting lore as well in it, I have the entire 4 seasons uploaded on my channel in a playlist if you guys want to check it out! each episode is usually like 2 minutes so you guys could easily finish all 4 seasons in around 10 or less videos.

I would like you to watch Isekai quartet. In season 1 main cast of Konosuba, Overlord, Rezero and Tanya are present. Season 2 adds Shield hero to the mix. Since you have watched these deep dive to the Overlord series, the interesting details you might notice over there would be fun to watch.
