As someone who has ADHD, Panic Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder this episode really gravitated towards me. Like Josh, my fear of being trapped, in an airplane, having panic attacks internally feeling out of my body, it really creates something that I don’t wish on anyone. It really affected the way I interact with people, and I would always be the quiet one, I wouldn’t understand why everyone was laughing in a conversation. I would pretty much prefer to play sports rather than be in class distracted and doodle, I would be anxious being away for one night away from home. Even with my ADHD, the excitement of starting something new, that I just leave the other thing in the middle. Me being lost in Paris, and having a panic attack. Or in a virtual rollercoaster where I just wanted to jump because I couldn’t breathe. Thank you for sharing. Really means a lot.

Josh story really gets me. I'm now 25 and I suffer from panic disorder and mostly panic attacks since I was 11-12 and I went to therapy, where we tried antidepressants and just talking but it didn't work. Or at least I was kind of fine for 3 year and out of nowhere they started again. So now here I am still trying to get through this life🙄

ive suffered from Panic Disorder for a long time. It disappeared for several years then came back this year. Its been a struggle at red lights going left, busy stores, checkout, and barbers. Open spaces also scare me sometimes. Through prayer and affirmation of the Word, it has gotten much better, but I have my daily battles. Thank you for coming out about this because many men we feel this is too embarrassing

I understand because I’ve been in your shoes exactly. Unsolicited tip: there is one more option to fight or flight… it’s “surrender/accept”-once you go in to the supermarket or wherever gives you panic, go in accepting you’re going to feel like crap and miraculously, usually you end up being fine. I call it my “f@ck it” moments. Eff it, I’ll crap my pants but I’m going anyway-and just like that, you get through it. And if you don’t? Who cares! ❤ There is a Great anxiety channel on KZbin-I think her name is therapy in a nutshell.

thank you Josh for talking about anxiety and panic attacks. especially the feeling out of body and like you’re dying. i’ve struggling with anxiety since 5th grade, got diagnosed with anxiety and prescribed medicine. i didn’t even take the medicine because i thought it would poison me and i would die lol. i remember at lunch in elementary school i wouldn’t eat anything with my hands because i thought the germs could kill me. so i ate chips out of the bag with my mouth lmao. i’m 23 now and still struggle with anxiety and now depression, and horrible anxiety around work, but thankfully i got over the fear of medicine and germs lol. it’s nice to hear another persons story with having anxiety. thank you for sharing!

By husband is 5’10, and my son is 5’5…both wear a 29 length….we RARELY can find that inseam size! Especially for my Son…his pants are always too long! Even his sweatpants. Of course my Son could care less….my complains tons! Also, Thank you for sharing your experiences, and struggles with anxiety…I’m in my 60’s and had my first panic attack at five years old…in my teen years it wasn’t Superbad, then in my early twenties it broke me, and I was housebound for a few years….I use so many tools now, and my life is not dictated by my anxiety level….having JESUS Christ in my life changed it all for me. You two are just the cutest! Love your talks, and your silliness, and your love for each other and your kids.

Just listened to Josh’s story. I deal with the same thing with social panic attacks. I hate concerts, going ANYWHERE when I know a lot of people will be there, public speaking. All of that. I think being short amplifies it because we can get claustrophobic in those settings. I’m only 4’11 (short Queen🙌🏻) some helpful tips that I use. I go to the grocery store as soon as they open because I know almost no one is there at that time. I also found a hairstylist who works from her home so I’m the only one there when getting my hair done. She’s a family friend so it’s not so stressful. Flying I avoid entirely. I’d rather the road trip so then I can take a break whenever I need to.

Thank you so very much for making this episode. I struggle with anxiety terribly. I am disabled because i had a knee replacement when i was 38 that got infected and the doctor didn't listen to the physical therapist or myself. Long story short, I had to have 5 more replacement surgeries to fix the infection because it was into my bone. I ended up with rsd, which is a nerve problem and it feels like my leg is on fire. I still can't walk well. I don't go out in public because I'm afraid people are going to look at me at my age and think oh she's lazy or fat because of riding on a scooter. I do have medication that helps a little with both anxiety and the ibs-d issues. My husband is getting upset with me because he likes to go out. It sucks!! I'm so sorry that you have dealt with anxiety so badly as well.

I have struggled with panic disorder my whole life…. Something that as tremendously changed my life was going gluten free… sounds crazy but I learned about it in nursing school and I have not had a bite of gluten in 3 years and have not had a panic attack since. The stomach is directly correlated with the brain and can cause A ton of different mental issues. I would look into diet, gluten free changed my life. (I like to tell everyone about it because it’s just so life changing for me)

It's taken quite a toll, to say the least, however I know God And Jesus, and The Holy Spirit are with me every step of the way! Any prayers would be appreciated below! Josh, in Paris, no jeans or pants were hemmed the designer stores. And if course I asked why? And of course they probably thought ignorant American...but never said it, but stated all pants including jeans are tailored. So, I agree, we come in all shapes and sizes, and heights. Let's get some tailors on site at stores, catch up with the rest of the world who already had this brilliant idea.
