Pro-life is just that. It is not a bunch of people trying to tell women what to do with their bodies, it's a bunch of people trying to save the life of someone defenseless. Every one of us alive could have faced that same fate but we did not. So why not? The value of a life should never be reduced to the toss of a coin. Every life has value and they are all equal. Like it or not it took 2 people to create a life why shouldn't his opinion be considered? The problem is that we have become more and more selfish over time. There is little we can't justify just as long as it benefits me. We have birth control and abstinence as methods of preventing pregnancy. So why don't we hold people accountable for making this life-and-death decision before we have sex instead of taking a life after we roll the dice? Because we are selfish and don't want to be inconvenienced. It is evident in our high rate of failed marriages and any other decision we make that negatively impacts society. It's time we start involving empathy and morals in our decisions, as inconvenient and uncomfortable as it may be.

Mark McCummins here. Things to remember about Ohio and Kentucky. Ohio’s Issue 1 passed with 38% of voter turnout. This tells me that 62% were more worried about the NFL or what season is in instead of voting for life. It tells me further that millions of Ohio Catholics did nothing. It’s sad. In Kentucky the Republican gubernatorial candidate was said to have been “a protege of Mitch McConnell.” That right there hurt his chances. When Kentucky Republicans hear the name “McConnell” they turn away. The Kentucky GOP had better awaken, and get the name McConnell off of their minds. In short, these were not solid wins. They were lessons in how better to fight the fight.
