In my last BECMI campaign, one of the players was a werebear, another was a werefox, another was a Merchant Prince, and yet another had the shaman secondary class. Wasn't THAT hard to keep track of. :P (I will note that I totally revamped the xp progression for the lycans, though. They require WAY too much xp as written to be worth it.)

Awesome content. Just got into D and D with a few friends. I'm about to start my own campaign and your Videos have been very helpful to listen to in the background while I'm typing up my adventure. Very unique channel, wish you got more attention for your hard work.

Out of d&d's various editions and all the other rpg's you've played, which ones had the best exploration rules?
@Mr_Welch2 жыл бұрын
1st edition was probably the most comprehensive with two books devotees to it. Star Wars d6 also did a good job with the book scouts

Multi-classing in 1st edition? We are still talking about Mystara, which was created as a BD&D vehicle. (BD&D; for not being AD&D.). To the best of my knowledge, that didn't have multi-classing.

@@Mr_Welch Ah! Got it. I know that the whole XP thing is pain, but in one of my last campaigns the wizard of the party contracted lycanthropy and he kinda liked it. Especially once he became immune to normal weapons. It got to a little hilarious at times because he’d wade into combat against humanoids and every time I’d hit he’d ask, “was that a magic weapon?” The trick for gaining XP would be trying to spend as much time in werewolf form as possible. With the party having a Ranger, most civilians assumed he was a large wolf. I did impose a strict rule he couldn’t hang out in were-form in large cities, though. Otherwise, I like the rules. It was a nice addition for human players.
