The reason Jacob and evie don’t keep their hoods up when not in stealth is because, during that time period, walking around with a hood up was a great way to be stopped by the guards.

An assassin or a spy has to blend in order to do their job, so Jacob's outfit is the more intelligent because when he's walking in London he looks just like another person while Ezio would have gotten everyone looking at him wondering what he's wearing.

Nah edward signature outfits are suppossed to be the modified version of duncan outfit, not the plain old robes he got from duncan. Besides the modified robes are much better and got that simple yet fitting design for the time period so i have to dissagree with you.

2:44 - I feel like you should've taken into account that Edwards outfit changes throughout the game as he modifies it. I think the original outfit isn't supposed to fit him on purpose since he is an impostor. But then he changes it to be much more in his style and it looks pretty neat. You just showed the outfit from the start of the game.

In the defence of Jacob, his style would be way more assassin like than most of the other, because it blend him with the rest of the croud easely. Also him not always wearing his hood also make it more efficient because the people gonna be on the look out of a hooded murderer, not a top hat civilian. A bit like Edward did in black flag where he remove his hoodie when not in a restricted area (at least with his regular outfit)

Connor’s outfit is so goateed and perfectly designed, he’s never gotten an undated version, nor a modified “Master Assassin” version in different media. It would be nice to see a video on Master Assassin outfits/“elder assassin” for characters, because some of them are acquired in DLC, some towards the end of the game, etc., (Jacob, Adewale, Bayek, Ezio, etc.,)

Definitely, Connor's Mentor fit would've been cool with a wolf pelt over his regular robes maybe with a few modifications. I would've loved if each Character had a mentor or elite assassin robes at the end of the game.

I think Jacob's outfit is pretty underrated. It's probably one of the most practical for an Assassin who is meant to hide in plain sight. The outfit doesn't look fancy and over the top and the way that his collar hides his hood when he pulls it down is also quite cool. The top hat just adds the finishing touch. On top of that, the coat can conceal weapons and according to the books, Evie and Jacob actually wear armor under their outfits. Overall, shit character, but out of the best outfits from a practicality standpoint.

Yeah, Jacob’s outfit is the only one besides Altair that makes social stealth make sense. Almost every other one is super flashy or at least stands out compared to the average citizen’s attire.

I love the look of Connor the best, only second to Altair arguably. The way his robe flies while he is running looks stunning to this day, his run animation with broad shoulders and a animalistic stride also might be the best in the series and his Tomahawk made axes my favorite weapon in any game. What a cool looking character.

I really like Ezio's AC2 outfit, the one he inherits from Giovanni. It has an amazing Renaissance-esque to it. I also think the brown cape with the red on the inside just adds the contrast that the AC Brotherhood outfit misses. There's just too much white and red. It looks TOO clean, as weird as that may sound, where Giovanni's fit has some grays mixed in which I assume is just the white fabric getting old.

I wish you brought up Bayek's Hidden One outfit. I can understand why it was omitted, since it arrived in a DLC, but it arguably took over as his signature outfit from that point on. It looks so sleek but detailed at the same time, foreshadowing what is to come and also pulling much from Bayek's own past.

I think Jacob’s outfit is probably the most practical. If we are sticking with only the signature outfits then my favorite for overall appearance would probably be Edward’s. If we are allowed to stray from the path then my all time favorite is Shay’s Templar Enforcer outfit; classy, clean and a nice break from the hoods and cloaks.

Just to point out that Evie can't wear the hood outside of stealth either, she just doesn't have a hat, also imo the hood design on the Outdoorsman outfit is better than the hood design on Simply Evie, also also, the Voctorian age citizens of London don't find hoods to be normal, wondering if Jacob or Evie are on the run from Lambeth Asylum or hiding from the police.

I've always liked Jacobs, Arnos and Altairs outfits the best. They blend right into their environment and setting based on the time period they're in. Jacobs wins though because of that finishing touch, which is his top hat. It's so realistic that he would never be under suspicion by the guards

Brotherhood is 100% Ezios signature robes. In AC2 he's wearing either Giovanni's or Altair's. Brotherhood is his set of robes as a master assassin, and reflects the history of his families nobility. It's also more matured than Giovanni's robes were, more fit for a man who's lived for 40 years. It's also the outfit that they give you as Ezios legacy outfit in every ac game. I really like his revelations outfit, but I think keeping the cape would've made it better.

It's favourites but if we talk about adaptability to the environment the social blend which is basically a tenent of the creed hide in plain sight then the best one is Altaïr because his outfits looks like monks and priests which let's him blend among them and till this day and age nobody dares to touch a monk or priest regardless of religion and then second would be Jacob he perfectly dresses like an english aristocrat then Ezio's revelation outfit he dresses as a traveler in Istanbul which is expected because back then Istanbul was really flourishing and it's also the cross road between Asia and Europe so big trade route every traveler will stop.

For me Bayeks and Edwards outfits should be a lot higher as they are imo the absolute best when it comes to blending the classic assassin's look with their time period. It also allows both of them to blend in more in the crowds and doesn't look as out of place compared to civilians like Ezios or Arnos outfit. Plus you should've definitely ranked Ezios outfits individually as my personal favorite, Ezios robes from AC II just went unmentioned😢

I also love Ezio's Revelations outfit because not only is it completely blue instead of the usual white, but it also has Astrakhan and leather bands and detailed glyphs all over it. Combined with his criminally handsome looks and beard, it really exemplifies the lone wolf look, as well as that of the ultimate Master Assassin. But yes, the Brotherhood robes are so regal in their own right, they would not look out of place on royalty. Not to mention that you can also customise the colours by visiting tailors and all the colour combinations look awesome ❤

Personally I love the robes Ezio got from his father. The smaller tail on the cloak gave it a more streamlined look. Combine that with the clean white color with ornate designs stitched into the robes and the striking burgundy red accents. It was an outfit that was gorgeous to look at. So much so I played the game without ever equipping an armor outside of the legs to the outfit.

Dress code of AC series is my favourite thing. You can see like after years they stop looking "traditional" and start more practical- for example Jacob's Outdoorsman outfit (Eddie Gorm etc.). It's because in the modern days Assassin's are wearing white hoodie and blue jeans. That's my biggest problem with Mirage outfits, they looks cool, but design make no sense. Why Initiate Robes looks more elegant then Master Assassin's? Master Assassin Robes supposed be future Assassin Outfit in AC1, but we have also completely different Assassin outfit from Valhalla. It looks more like those AI generated outfits: leather pad on arm, layers of clothes, ornamented hood beak etc.

Unpopular opinion but I agree. I think it has to do with the heavier look and the neck piece that sticks to Ezio’s neck for the brotherhood outfit. Giovanni outfit looks and feels more agile and free, especially in the neck area

@@mithruikka Actually, looking at these comments and hearing others' opinion over the years it seems that it's not an unpopular opinion. Many people dislike either how dull or how conspicuous Brotherhood outfit looks when compared to AC2. And I actually kinda agree with both. A much longer robe and a massive belt were quite over the top and didn't seem very agile for an assassin, while a simple pristine white and red color scheme made it seem a bit boring at the same time. Also those disgusting pauldrons and chest armor didn't make things any better. Giovanni's outfit on the other hand was a perfect blend of a renaissance style and practicality, while still retaining a recognizable Assassin's look.

It's really easy to discern the bottoms one out but for the best outfit, that's the really hard part. For me, it's a toss up between Ezio (both Revelation and Brotherhood), Connor, Edward and Arno. All are beautiful and unique in their own way. Altair is high up on the list as well, it's just that Ezio's Brotherhood outfit feels like the upgraded version of it.

One thing I will say about odyssey, Valhalla and Syndicate is that the outfits that look more like regular people could be argued for being more like what an assassin could wear for blending in. One of the tenets is hide in plain site and looking like a Regular person suits that.

Evie could never put on her hood out of stealth mode. Jacob puts on the top hat after unhooding, Evie is just bare headed. Unless I'm missing a patch in the game or something, I dont recall Evie being the only one in Syndicate to have her hood on the whole time

For me Ezio's outfit from Revelations is the best one. (Especially if you paint it into Masyaf's White color), it's just there's something really special about it...

I actually would agree with it. Aveline's looks really unique and cool. Edward's does too, but the thing is that aside from Odyssey and Valhalla, all of the main protagonists have awesome outfits, so the rankings between people can vary a lot.

One thing I noticed about Arno's default Assassin robe colour scheme is actually the 3 colours of the French flag, blue which is his main hooded coat, white which is his undershirt and red which is his neckerchief, which is quite fitting for the setting being during the French Revolution which people often display the French flag to show who's the boss of the country to the royals.

I indeed enjoyed your video. Though I have not yet played A.C. Mirage, do not have the ability to play A.C. Liberation, and unwilling to play either A.C. Rogue or A.C. Valhalla, I found your list excellent. Though I find that Kassandra / Alexios, Arno, and Bayek to be RPG-ish when it comes to outfits.

For me personally, Arno's outfit is still the peak. The blue is perfect, the style is so slick and overall it just looks so damn cool. It's such a shame there's no option to have his default appearance as an outfit as the stats on it suck

I love that in assassin's creed liberation the game finally acknowledges the fact that the assassin robes are not good to blend in, and just says "yeah if you use that outfit, the guards will investigate you" Makes sense

Actually Kassandra is the closest thing to a REAL assassin has anyone ever looked up the meaning of assassin, it reads and I quote “a person who murders an important person for political or religious reasons.” So by those terms Kassandra was an actual assassin as opposed to Edward kenway or Ezio (I like Edward and hate Ezio) who were solely about self interest or revenge

It's funny how opinions can be so different in certain matters. Of course, it's your opinion and I respect it, but for me Bayek has the second best desing, only below Altair (and yes, over Ezio)
