There's this piece of cut content where Achilles talks to Connor about his wife and child. It's genuinely a really nice scene and no idea why it was removed. AC underwent 4 different identities and still they can't figure it out. They're just copying other popular hits the past few years and going with the trend. Assassin's Creed Victory was my dream AC game when it was leaked. I was seventeen and still pretty high on the series, and Victorian London was my most wanted setting for them to do. The leaks looked exactly like what I had imagined The protagonist even looked eerily similar to fan art I had made. I still mourn its loss, and the mediocrity we got instead. The first was when they unceremoniously killed off Desmond and basically discarded the modern day story that had been developing over the entire series up to that point. I think the story of Desmond was great, it makes reference to "Hybris" and tells us that we can't run from our destiny, and him sacrificing represents him maturing, but also I think it represents more the fact that everything is already written, already planned, for everyone, maybe the Isu planned everything already, maybe the conflict between Juno and Minerva was so that assassin's had the impression that they could choose what happens next, when actually they don't have a choice, either they go on, or die, it makes me remember how religion, at least in Christianity is portrayed, if you go on the path of Christ you will have a good eternity, but if you don't then hell awaits you, but hey, we don't force you to take this path, we are just saying that If you don't follow Christ you will go to hell. There's no basis to constrict it on as opposed to the historical elements of it. Isu aspects of the franchise have been around since the first game. It comes across as the Casual AC who complains about the more (previously) Esotric aspects of the lore which just goes to show the level of ignorance they possess when the are critical of said aspects of the lore. I honestly think the problem with Ubisoft based on these isn't just development and time constraints, it's also them just providing a teaser or trailer that sometimes included full gameplay, and providing the said cut content on there. It wouldn't be an issue had they just not show any of it and just stick to whichever plan they actually are going with to completion instead of promoting and showing people these concepts during development, during incomplete development especially since a lot of these could have been included in one way or another had there not have been "changes" in the narrative their building and they weren't done deciding yet in including these ideas. I'm not sure who's the lead in marketing that thought it was a good idea to show something just because it looked cool when it's not even completed development yet, but they need to chill out because it's borderline misleading.

5:32 could have been a cutscene or a mission where you just aimlessly stumble around until you collapse in the street from how much you drank, then have them wake up being taken care of by the colonial templars. There could have been more nuance towards how the assassins were portrayed & have Achilles be revealed to have been a Templar spy all along who was sent to sabotage the creed’s attempt to raise their youth. Shay’s Mentor could have been the vice versa, further playing into the concept of “twisting the family” that could have been there since this is the first time Ezio’s family was used outside of the Ezio trilogy.

I feel like the Horizon games have become somewhat of a spiritual succcessor to AC's present day storyline. You got stuff like: exploring ancient bunkers to uncover an ancient truth, finding and utilising pieces of ancient technology (e.g. shield-weaver armour, master override, etc.) having to save the world from a second apocalypse, a certain faction resembling the Isu and even a spaceship (which makes you think of the scrapped Desmond ending idea). The Gaia hologram in Horizon 2 also gave me AC2 Minerva vibes.

20:00 just a little correction, the model does not go unused, it's used on generated Abstergo Guards. If you keep am eye out, you may see it up close on a cutscene.

I remember there was plans for ACR that there would be a much more expanded bomb crafting system with hundreds of combinations and that there would be more random events like the recruits but where civilians would be rescued from being robbed or aided in moving boxes or preventing a raid.

The Mirage deleted scene may be part of a simulation. The concept of simulations and future predictions was introduced quite early in the franchise, it could be that Is that dialogue part of a "possible future", seen by The Reader?

How dare they? When Nolan said he would be able to time travel are we meant to get from that that Desmond had been exposed to the bleeding effect for so long that he was almost able to enter it at will and not need to use the animus? Kind of like that scene in AC2 where he sees Altair and Maria in Acre?

I'm like 90% sure that Mirage post-credits scene didn't use voice actors, it was text to speech. The reason why Shaun's model was changed is to make him look like Danny Wallace.

When playing open world games I like to travel the boundary of a map after completion & I often notice stuff such as the eastern bank of the Nile or Quebec likely being cut content due to various things. Often these areas are also conceptualized that at least theoretically cut or new content could easily be inserted there. One thing I imagine could've also been an idea at some point is for instance more of Epiros appearing in AC Odyssey both due to the makeup of the map as well as the fact that the Peloponnesian War also included that area and the island of Corfu. Florida in AC Black Flag is another one of those areas which are there but weirdly off-limits.

With regards to the Connor/Aveline romance being dropped, I can actually see it working if it takes place after AC3. They said that Aveline and Connor's personalities and motivations were just too incompatible to make it work, but AC3 leaves Connor off in a place that I think could have worked. Throughout AC3, Connor is shown to be naive and idealistic bordering on just kind of dumb at times. However, throughout his story, he's left in a place that I think theoretically could make him quite cynical. After all, he really bought into the Patriots' rhetoric of seeking liberty and freedom for all people, and assumed that the British crown just wanted to rule everything, and thus sided with the Patriots thinking that it would be the best way to protect his people and their land. He's instrumental in securing the Patriots' victory, and they reward him by stealing the land his village is on and driving his people further west, not to mention the personal betrayal he felt when he learned how Washington responded to the natives siding with the British. By the end of the game, his faith in the patriots' cause is basically shattered when they drive away his people and then continue to use slave labor despite it seeming to go against the things they claim to stand for because he doesn't understand how racism works. While I haven't played Liberation, I do know that the usage of slave labor in the Americas at the time was a part of the game's story, so Connor getting involved after that with his new likely more cynical mindset could have worked with Aveline. It would have just likely required him getting either a DLC that ties it into Liberation, or more ideally, a full game, since I think Connor is the one AC protagonist that would have benefitted most from getting a sequel like Ezio did.

Not too keen on the spaceship idea but love the part of Desmond being the ultimate assassin who uses his new abilities to defeat the templars, maybe he could have been one of Isu ancestors in one game and get a new ability like eagle vision. A shame for what could have been.

The Silas change isn’t a change or an unused plot point. It’s simply protecting the secret of the changing protagonist. A very interesting and effective cover up honestly.

Rope dart was the most badass part of AC3 and I think it’s a reasonable reconstruct of a chain blade. Edit: the canoe being removed makes more sense when you consider that the world was frozen for a good portion of the story. Goes a long way to showing how development sometimes effects story but also how story can effect development.

God I would of loved to see Patrice Désilets original vision so badly it's a shame. I don't even get why Ubisoft had to ruin it they could of done a reboot of the series or spin offs after the story was concluded. Although Brotherhood, Revelations, AC3 and AC4 in their current states would of never been made so it's a double ended sword.

They should set the game during early 20th century being about the suffragists and suffragettes, way they could improve the social stealths elements massively. It’s a unique setting as well.
