It threw a surprise last year when it began adding to its subscriber count between July and October while the more established private players were recording declines. November saw a reversal to the earlier status-Jio gained subscribers again while BSNL saw a decline. Has Jio regained momentum? Where do Airtel and Vodafone stand? Many have switched to BSNL because they can't afford pvt operators.. But they are getting way worse network for cheaper charges.. Calls don't connect, voice break, slow internet just for paying around half the price. Many have no option and are stuck with bad network.

I need to admit BSNL has got a boost with cash flow from the govt. and new infrastructure projects are being lined up. This is good being a user as I have started receiving 4G network since August. I heard it's also opting for 5G network establishment around the western part of India. So that's good progress in a short time. 👍

Abhi tak tier 2 tier 3 cities m 4g nahi aaya bsnl walo ka, 3g bhi boht slow chalta hai.

What I really think is we need to go back to the days when we would recharge with a certain amount of top-up and make calls accordinly. I'm sure that a lot of us who have Wifi services at home and office are paying extra every month just to keep the sim card active as our numbers are linked to important accounts. Having to pay only for the calls we need to make and not more would surely encourage people to spend more.

BSNL also has a sarvatra plan to access net from WiFi hotspots which is a good solution for subscribers

Why BSNL is troubling its customers by the way of its very bad network without bringing them on to the present standards? At the same time we are loosing the data very fast in the name of high speed data. Why there are blackouts then? It its utmost priority to provide the users its uninterrupted service and avoid bad blackouts.
