Story Of The Nive Avatars Of Durga Navaratri Goddesses
Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the Divine Feminine, most often associated with Durga Ma and Goddess Parvati. This festival lasts for nine days and nights, during which various forms of the Devi are worshiped. Navaratri celebrates Her various incarnations and victories over terrible demons. In this video, we bring to you the story behind all the nine forms of durga. The first day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Shailaputri. The second day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Brahmachāriṇī (ब्रह्मचारिणी), one who practices devout austerity. The third day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Chandraghantā (चंद्रघंटा), one whose forehead is adorned with the half moon (चंद्र) shaped like a bell (घंटा). The fourth day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda, the creator of the Universe. On the fifth day of Navaratri, Maa Skandamata is worshiped. The sixth day of Navaratri is dedicated to Maa Katyayani (Kātyāyanī/कात्यायनी), a powerful warrior Goddess. On the seventh day of Navaratri, Maa Kaalratri, a formidable and awe-inspiring form of the Goddess, is venerated. On the auspicious 8th day of Navaratri, devotees pay their reverence to Mahagauri (Mahāgaurī/महागौरी), the supreme goddess whose name embodies her essence. The ninth and final day of Navaratri is a special occasion dedicated to Maa Siddhidaatri (Siddhidātri/सिद्धिदात्री).

Actually mahishashura had a boon that nothing in a world could defeat him. He said everything every weapon and every living organism but he didnt mentioned a women while getting a boon. He thought women are weak but we all know how powerful our mother are when it comes to protection. Goddess durga killed him at last and the fight lasted for 9 night hence navratri (9 night)
