50mph plus was quite achievable with load 7 for a 47. Great days I miss very much, having driven all but 1 class 47/8's.

Very impressed with the speed those 47’s are making with load 7. Only giving about 10 mph to the 125 Sets I’d say.

Tbf the voyagers today aren't much quicker, if at all. I loved driving the 47's back in the day. Without doubt the best type 4 ever.
