Some commentary from one musician to another: Part 1: This one has synth strings (played on a keyboard) and the brass section consists of 2 Trumpets, 1 Alto Sax, 1 Tenor Sax, 1 Baritone Sax, and 1 Trombone. The main guitar riff is supposed to have a bluesy element to it, so you're right about that and the chord changes are almost all extended chords, like "Gm7", "Eb9", D7(b9), etc. The music is meant to be a modern take on the time period in which the show takes place (the 1800s) so it's almost like a pop orchestra. There's also an electric tine piano playing mostly whole notes to thicken the texture of the song. Part 2: Just like the first one, This one if based off the time period it takes place in, the 1930s. Both the drums and bass were midi instruments (that means a computer played them and they weren't recorded by a person playing them). This one is also J-pop Jazzy with hints of funk leaning more on the brass section (which this time consists only of 2 Trumpets, 1 Alto Sax, and 1 Tenor Sax) Changes here are also almost completely extended range chords. There's a Rock organ, and a Clavinet too. Part 3: Once again this is reflected in the time period of the part, the 80s. With Jotaro's delinquent nature, the intro this time is not J-rock, but instead 80s style metal. The double lead intro is very reminiscent of "Iron Maiden" The Double kick drums are a byproduct of that style choice. This time it's almost just a conventional metal band instrumentation: 2 Lead guitars, 1 Rhythm Guitar (7 string), a Rock organ, 1 Bass (5 string), and a metal drumset. The ending chords you mostly got right, even what's on screen isn't quite right, The chords are; Am; G quickly resolving to; F; E quickly resolving to Dm; B7/D#; E; Am. Part 3 (2): Again it's metal, but with their coming approach to DIO, they've added a real String section (not synth this time). The beginning is almost free time (with an ambiguous sounding synth pad layered over strings, all seemingly changing notes at different times. (like how DIO is free from time). And instrumental of the song will make this more apparent. Part 4: It's similar to part 2, almost the same instrumentation too, except with an added baritone sax and Flute. It's basically Jazz Funk Fusion. The rhythm guitar in part 2 was a distorted guitar, but here's it's clean with a wah pedal, playing some very rudimentary funk guitar rhythm. Part 4 (2): Just an alt rock song. Nothing very interesting or outwardly distinguishing about it. It's not my favorite, but I understand why people like it. Part 4 (3): Similar brass instrumentation again, 2 trumpets, 1 Alto, and 1 Tenor. And that familiar Rock Organ. You are correct about the variation being a continuation. The full song contains both parts of this. Part 5: Unfortunately they've shifted more away from that pop brass sound to more synth and string sections. This part takes place in Italy, so lots of musical influence went to there. Part 5 (2): The intro's guitar is only slightly overdriven, adding some grime to the sound. It's very string section reliant, but this time they've went full Italian and added that very vibrato like opera choir (theyre present in both versions of the song), with a church organ as a pad for the background to add thickness. The Diavolo version just plays his theme with an opera like singer, and a church organ. The guitar solo sound muffled because you don't actually hear most the strikes of the strings, which makes it have this weird quality to it. I personally like it as it sounds like the sound is I literally revving up.
