2 reasons i hated it: 1) The actor portraying Dracula. He was horrible. Not a good Dracula at all. 2) werewolf eyes were too cartoonish. Not a big Hugh Jackman fan, he did ok. Besides that, it was a fun enjoyable movie.

One thing I want to say about the ending is the significance of that moment to Van Helsing. To him, it was more than reassurance that the one he loved was gone to a better place, it was affirmation that his work on God's behalf actually matters.

He is the archangel Gabriel, that is why dracula keeps calling him like that, at some point in time he took a human form and came to earth, he befriended dracula but for some unknown reason he killed him and after that God erased his memory. Well I wouldn’t say it was dumb fun considering it was a really good movie at the timing still stands the stairs being a really good crossover of a lot of the key fantasy stories created around that time. Werewolves, vampires and Frankenstein have similar always been connected with each other and Van Helsing did a really great job of that. Not least because of Hugh Jackman.😁 Movies today are still good, but back then you could definitely say a lot more stuff freely without having to worry about always trying to satisfy everyone. Animated films are still great though and they are continuing to always improve across the would.

Frankenstein isn't the monster. Is a common mistake. Dr Frankenstein created the monster in the book, and called him Adam. The monster, werewolves and Dracula and all associated together because of a link in gothic horror stories and the Universal Studio monster movies from the 1930s. The British film studio used them as well for a series of horror movies from the 1950s to 1970s.

The priest said in the beginning that many generations of the Valerian family won't get to heaven, unless Dracula is killed. That's the significance of him seeing her going up with her family at the end. Arch-angel Gabriel was the "left hand of God". (I think Michael was the right hand?) David Wenham, as Carl. Also played Faramir of Gondor in the LotR movies, and the one-eyed story teller soldier in "300". Kate Beckinsale, played the Vampire Selene in the "Underworld" series. Same actor Kevin J. Gabriel, the Archangel, often referred to as the Left Hand of God. Whose horn (the instrument) has the power to open the gates of heaven :) Where as Michael is God's right hand and general of God's armies.

The monster that Van Helsing fought in the beginning of this film was the man named Dr. Jekyll who transforms into Mr. Hyde and I heard there was an animated movie prequel of Van Helsing.

Fun fact about this movie is that van hellsing is the human form of the arcangel gabriel one of the most powerfull angels of god thats why his werewolf form is mach with dracula demon form the dude is half angel half werewolf. and that is why he can see the gate of heaven and anna and her family at the end.

Universal pictures originally did the Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Mummy and a bunch of others plus the sequals and crossovers starting in the 1930's. Van Helsing was the vampire hunter in the original Dracula so the crossovers in this movie were natural. In Dracula Van Helsing was not really a badass

Not greatest movie but it is a comfort that get you into the Halloween spirit like a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie. Plot was convoluted and a lot of things like Vampire dying by Werewolf seems like the age old cliche that has been going on for ages. Biggest plot hole was the origins of Van Helsing him being an angel that became human is kind of cliche which could have been a good plot of multiple planned movies sadly this movie didn’t do well enough at the box office to warrant a franchise even Hugh Jackman said this wasn’t one of his best and he did Les Mis.

Great Movie. I usually don't like vampire or werewolf movies but I really to my surprise like this one. Another vampire movie I like is Blade 1998 with Westerly Snips. Also a more dramatic movie is Interview with the Vampire with Brad Pit and Tom Cruz.

Great reaction from you, girls (of course). It's just a gothic fantasy romp in the end, so it's nice to see you took it the right way. I'm just left wondering, more than ever, what your "Eche!!" means in English - if it's even translatable.

The Van Helsing character is 100% inspired by Solomon Kane, a character imagined by Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian (1906-1936). Solomon Kane was a puritan who thought that he had a sacred mission to fight the Evil. Not sexy enough for Hollywood that perverted the character to "Van Helsing the Vampire Hunter".

You have zero awareness of reality. Bulgarians do not subscribe to the Captain Marvel/Brie Larsen train of thought. You definitely have to be a leftist in the US, probably California. I'd tell you to educate yourself, but your parents already failed you on that, and you will not listen to reality.
