Remy Lebeau is a mutant who has the power to charge objects with kinetic energy. The more energy he puts into the object, the more explosive it becomes. There was a funny story about the day they filmed the scene where Logan gets the Adamantium. Hugh Jackman had to be naked for the scene so he told the director that only men could be on the set. After he jumps out of the water tank and runs down the tunnel, Jackman found every woman from the cast and crew waiting for him, waving dollar bills. LOL.

One thing you ladies have missed in the first few movies is that Wolverine, Professor X and Magneto have the BIGGEST storylines in the entire X-men universe. I know you loved Storm a lot the first movie and Mystique as well is amazing, but Wolverine became the iconic and most storied of all the characters. They do a great job in the movies picking Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine but in reality (or in the comic books) Wolverine is an absolute ANIMAL, always on the prowl, never compromising, very vicious and so on. The fact they made an entire movie dedicated to just his character should tell you everything you need to know about Wolverine. He is THAT important of a character. If there was no Wolverine there probably wouldn't have been such a huge following for the seri

I was fortunate enough to grow up during the Chris Claremont X-Men years. The first X-Men comic book I picked up was when Rogue left Magneto and joined Prof X's school. You are exactly right about Wolverine. Back in the early 80s, he was the star of X-Men. Then he got his own limited series followed by the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine limited series a couple of years later and the rest is history. At the time we used to debate which actor could be a live-action Wolverine, but we knew it was only academic because X-Men would never be made into a movie. 😀 It was only popular with comic book readers and otherwise non-existent in mainstream culture. While Hugh Jackman definitely isn't the comic book version of Wolverine, I like his version as well.

Fun fact about both Wolverine & Sabertooth's healing factors: Not only does it heal wounds fast, it makes them immune to poisons; being drugged; it gives them a higher threshold & tolerance for pain than the average person, & it slows down aging. I loved this movie for one reason, when i was a little kid i watched the X-Men cartoon with my brother and friends before i saw the movies and Gambit/Remi LaBeau was my favourite...i liked how they had him in this but it wasnt the greatest take on him. After reading over a thousand pages of John Carter of Mars, I was a little disappointed in the movie telling of the story that spawned the idea of superheroes. William Burroughs is known mostly for Tarzan, and not for being the father of superheroes.

@@highlander31527 Edgar Rice Burroughs created Tarzan and John Carter. William Burroughs was a beat author. And yeah, in John Carter they did a whole mix and match of elements from various Barsoom stories. They'd have been better off just adapting the first one. Although Traci Lords did that and her version was pretty crappy. Burroughs mostly contributed the idea of Superman being stronger than humans because he was born on a higher-gravity planet. And a lot of his stories had people with telepathic powers, but that wasn't all that uncommon. So crediting him with inventing superheroes is a bit of a stretch. But he was extremely influential in scifi/fantasy overall.

Haha Remy Lebeau is a Mutant not a sorcerer but that's funny. His X-Men name is Gambit & mutant power is Kinetic energy manipulation. He can charge inanimate objects and make them explode. He is a Cajun card dealer so his fave weapon is Poker cards that he can throw like bombs. Wolverine can be hurt by adamantium metal and he lost all his memories of those people with a shot to the head. He can't survive decapitation but Deadpool can as his power is also regeneration (headpool lol even from pieces) not just healing. Logan is ageless. Deadpool is immortal.

Actually there were so many fans who were angered by, & hated this version of Deadpool so much, that this was probably the boost that Ryan Reynolds needed to get the Deadpool movies made. Remember, Deadpool loves to make fun of everyone (including himself). That's why you see him go back in time at the end of Deadpool 2 to "erase" that version of himself from the timeline. Unpopular opinion but Taylor Kitsch was a perfect casting choice for Gambit and he should've reprised for the Gambit solo film if that plan ever revives. It's a coincidence both he and Gambit's voice actor are Canadian. Wolverine isn't immortal. He just ages very slowly as an adult because of his mutation. Also, getting the bullets out of his head will not allow him to regrown his memories. That part of the brain that stores memories was destroyed by the bullet, and while his brain will grow back., the memories do not. That's why in the X-men when Charles meets Logan at the school, it's Charles who has to use his psychic power to try and help Logan piece together events before his injury. Regarding Deadpool, this version of Deadpool was panned by the fans, because in the comics, he did not have the combined powers of all these different characters. So when they did Deadpool right in his 2 movies, his character went back in time and assassinated this version of himself as kind of a joke to make the fans happy that did not like this iteration of the character.

Fun facts: the jacket that the old couple gave him is the same jacket he wore in Xmen 2 when he went looking for the facility. His brother is supposed to be the long haired blonde mutant that was with Magneto in the first movie. His mutation turned him more into an animal and messes up his mind where he became more simple minded and forgot who he was and James. James Logan is Wolverine's name. Jimmy is a nickname for James. The barn bar that he found his brother in after he found his girlfriend dead, is the exact same barn bar that Rogue ran into him, when he got attacked from the guy he wrestled. Even though people didn't like the way Wade was portrayed in this movie...I liked it. I loved the way he displayed his powers with the swords. The guy that Victor killed at the carnival was one of the Shire Hobbits from Lord of the Rings. I always get them mixed up, but I think he was Merry. In the Xmen 2 movie, Mytique disguised herself as Striker's assistant to get into her computer and get the information for Cerebro. There were a list of files on mutants they experimented on at that facility. Remy Lebou was one of the files. The friend that went with Logan to see Remy is one of the members from the Black Eyed Peas. His name is Will. I. Am.

Also, it's never been confirmed if it is part of his power, or an acquired trait, but he can sweet talk pretty much anyone into doing what he wants, given time. For many years, Gambit and Rogue were a couple. He was able to use his ability to counter hers so they could kiss and have a semi normal relationship. Yes, he's a bad boy. Not a villain, but kind of an anti hero, like Wolverine, that mostly sided with the heroes. The actor was a bad choice, as Gambit is thin and flexible, but wiry, with a heavy Cajun accent. Taylor Kitsch's New Orleans accent is awful, and he is nowhere near Gambit's physique. He was just the hot young guy at the time, so he was picked.

There's nothing more to add to the old Deadpool. The scene in Deadpool 2 is virtually an erasure of the old Deadpool from X-Men: Wolverine, just as he kills himself so he doesn't make the Green Lantern movie. It is a criticism that is satirically processed by means of the movie scenes in Deadpool 2. Reynolds uses it to show that he himself wasn't happy with the results.

No, if they remove the ADAMANTIUM Bullets out of his head it does not restore your memory. Although his body healed around the bullets and gave him enough cognition power the Amnesia he got from all the brain trauma is permanent. He is still vulnerable to the same kinds of brain trauma as anyone else. His brain may heal but the memories that his brain held may not return.

this movie is why Ryan reynolds made Deadpool. because this deadpool was crap, he hated it, closing his mouth. so he decided to make a real Deadpool, AND IT WAS AMAZING :)

Deadpool doesn't have any of these powers besides fast healing. If you watched Xmen before Deadpool you'd get the joke that this was a crappy version of Deadpool. They messed up the character in this movie, and thats why Ryan Reynolds "kills" him in the Deadpool 2 end credit scene because it was so bad and no one should have to remember it lol.

Deadpool went back in time to shoot THIS Deadpool because it was a really bad adaptation of the character vs the comic books, he also shot Ryan Reynolds the actor when he was first reading the script to the lousy "Green Lantern" movie which was also a role Ryan Reynolds is embarrassed of.

I know that people shit on this movie so much because of how many things were bad including dead pool and I agree but I still like it cause Wolverine is my favorite here and we at least get to see what his story was before he was Weapon-X and how it happened to begin with so I respect this movie but still criticize it at the same time
