I subscribed to Aysel's channel about 1 year ago, and her advice has actually improved my jaw line, jowls, nasolabial folds, and my neck. I have viewed many KZbin videos on facial how-tos, but now I exclusively follow Aysel's massage videos because they are the only ones which actually improved my aging concerns. She deserves the credit for her incredible knowledge she shares with us. The Honest Channel and Claudia Glows are my other favorite channels for looking my best as I age!

I noticed a difference in my neck about three years ago and have tried creams etc. For the crepe of the skin, the best thing I've found is Castor Oil. It is such a wonderful oil and has made the crepe disappear. I am going to try this technique to tighten the muscles. Love this channel, thank you.
@2017_K___Booth

I've heard great things about castor oil too. I was using it to help with my droopy eyelids. But, I started noticing that my fingers would go numb on me which seems to happen when I'm low on estrogen. If I apply estrogen cream, my fingers feel better. Then, I read it will deplete estrogen so we have to reapply estrogen cream afterwards. It seems to help me but I suggest reading about side effects of the oil if we are menopausal or perimenopausal.

@@2017_K___BoothThanks for making this important point. I had no idea it depletes estrogen! Lower estrogen levels are a big cause of aging in females. So definitely good to know before we go crazy on the oil.

I'm also a massage therapist and bodyworker, and this technique is essentially tapotement, which affects blood flow, fascia and thus the underlying musculature. It makes a lot of sense physiologically that you would see a fairly rapid response. The fact that it's NOT a product or device is a positive as well. Definitely going to try this (at 76, I should be able to see a visible shift pretty fast!)

Just wanted to say that like Lee I noticed big changes to my neck after 52. I just tested this method, once, 3 min and I noticed an IMMEDIATE improvement. There is a particular crepey spot on my neck which was gone after the towelling. Its so easy I will be doing this most days - can’t wait to see the longer terms results. This is the kind of stuff we need - simple easy to do techniques that are proven to work.

Okay...I tried this last night before bed and all I could do was think about the immediate results, OH MY GRACIOUS!!!! I couldn't wait to get up this morning to do it again LOL Seriously, my neck and jaw line looks so much more defined. I did find the slapping motion very hard on my arms (Lol, tiring) so I will be switching to a dish towel. I am 59 years old and gravity has been having it's way with neck :( I do use my NuFace and great skincare but my top tip is SPF. I am just blown away by the results so far. It's simple easy and cheap...what do we have to lose! Also, I do have a thyroid issue so I will be VERY careful to avoid that area!!!

Great!! I am 54, this is such truth. I had a neck accident 14 years ago that has made my neck muscles tight... I have zero turkey neck, no sagging because my muscles have been tighter. I do not believe we should get plastic surgery.. (unless a deformity problem) all else can be corrected in training our muscles and fascia.

You can also exercise your "wattle" lol. I saw this on yt and I am thrilled with my results! You put your tongue against the roof of your mouth(this creates a suction) and actually work the neck muscles. I have been doing this for about two weeks and I notice that the muscles respond rather quickly. Put your hands on either side of your wattle to make sure you're doing the exercise properly. You will definitely feel it if you're doing it properly!! And then it's just tighten - release.

I know this may sound trivial but I trained myself to sleep on my back and saw a big improvement in my facial wrinkles. I used to sleep on my right side and noticed pretty deep crow's feet and other facial wrinkles on my right side that weren't on my left. After training myself to sleep on my back those right side wrinkles have diminished. They're still there but softer and less noticeable. Also I have been doing mouth taping at night and sleep deeper. Breathing through your nose rather than through your mouth when you sleep provides more nitrous oxide which is healthier. What I didn't expect is that mouth taping changed the shape of my face! More defined. Chin more pointed. Cheeks more slender. Just more definition overall in my lower face. Don't know how that happened or why with mouth taping but I am delighted. I'm going to try the salted towel massage. But with the back sleeping and mouth taping my neck already looks better. Could be even better though. I'll try it and see.❤

When I was training to be an Aesthetician (many years ago) the girls often talked about their inexpensive home cellulite treatment using olive oil and rock salt put on the skin and wrapped in plastic wrap for 30mins. They swore that it was as good as any expensive cream. Of course what was happening was that the salt was dehydrating the superficial layers of the skin thus giving a temporary smoothing effect while the olive oil was moisturizing. I suspect a similar action is being seen here and yes you would see temporary results if doing it everyday. The flicking action might be good at stimulating muscle tone but I would think hand massage techniques would be more effective as the hands cradles and move the skin/muscle (effleurage and petrissage) better than a towel. As an aesthetician I would be more inclined to use EMS to stimulate muscle tone. Hope my explanation helps to shed some light on the techniques used in this video.

This is fantastic. I had seen the video before also, but never tried it. I follow another lady on YT that does facial yoga, facial massage, and even a 'tapping technique' that is supposed to help with firmness and collagen production. This sounds like it is a similar technique to the tapping. I also think that the minerals from the salt probably have a beneficial effect. Himalayan salt and celtic sea salt are incredibly healthy and loaded with minerals out bodies need. I will have to try this now :) .... thank you Clare! ... Blessings

I will have to try this! I am 34 and am looking into neck lift surgery but if I can avoid that I will. I have a genetic loose neck/double chin and no amount of guasha and retinol has helped. Mine isnt fluid at all- it is more of a foward leaninf muscle. All the women in my family have this neck! After hitting 30, it got worse so I am just so fed up! I have tried a lot of facial yoga but that didn’t work. I will try this tutorial!

The massage is similar to the massage used by our grandmother’s back in the day where you “slap” your jaw line under the chin with the back of your hand. Hard to explain.. you put one hand parallel to your jaw face down mid neck and then with the other hand flap it back and forth like a clap but restricted hitting the jawline. Can’t explain it any better. But that works.

@@cammieklund Me Too! Bogus! My grandmother died 99yrs, still with INCREDIBLE skin. BUT she had also lived and worked on their farm, eating only what they produced including milk and meat. All organic, all fresh. She always wore a large hat and her only beauty regime was Oil of Ulan [now Olay], and this 'neck slapping'. I realize the good food and hard work was the most important. [She did have stress though, with droughts, fires, floods, losing men to war etc]. But I believe the hat, Oil of Ulan and probably the face slapping kept her beautiful to the end. [If only my mother and I had noted and listened to a 1/4 of her wisdom]. But No!!!

Fabulous. I watched that video last year and didn't disbelieve it, but TBH was simply too lazy to get it together to do the "towel slapping" However I did use some prebiotic facial night cream every once in a while on the neck, and did other stretches and exercises (I think they were "face yoga" tutorials ... from Asian vloggers...) . All good. Roll on, age of Aquarius !

You really have to watch Aysel's video! The wet towel part is only one step of 4 steps and the salt is not necessary; you can do it with just warm water. They make it look like one step, but there is also stretching, and a couple of massage techniques that look very crucial to the success of treating this area!

It does work. One does not need any salt water. It actually makes the towel too rough and scratches the skin. One can just use a towel and preferably delicate fabric towel and the slapping itself is what works.

I would disagree in theory. The saline will help the neck cream enter the skin. The sea salt is full of beneficial minerals like a hot spring bath. My hypothesis is that the sea salt water plays a key role in this technique.
@orangefox5121
@orangefox5121 Жыл бұрын
@@MissKrisLoves in theory - yes. You do not need anything to penetrate the skin etc. it is the slapping movement that helps, not the cream or the salt. the cream ends up on the wet towel, not in your skin , btw, and the salty wet towel is basically scratching the skin. Which shortens the time you can bear it as it starts to be burningly painful. If you want better penetration of the cream - apply it AFTER the slapping as your circulation is improved and tissue absorption increases. Salty compresses afterwards can do the job of salt penetration. no need to damage the skin barrier by slapping mirco crystals on it. And all this is not theoretical, I tried it the way she posted and it did not work even just being wet as it becomes way too rough.

@@orangefox5121same! I tried it everyday for about five weeks & gave up, as no noticeable difference. It was very disappointing. I could bear it & did 2 mins (set alarm) on each area, so a total of 6 minutes. I twisted the tea towel & gave my neck (& arms) a real workout! My neck reddened, each time. I also moisturised before & afterwards. I’ll try your dry method, with a soft hand towel.
@orangefox5121
@orangefox5121 Жыл бұрын
@@helenauburn4550 the best towel for me is a really soft microfiber towel I bought for plopping the curls ( I think it is called haircare towel or something like that). Silk might be good, too, those are fabrics which help. Plus you need a longer one as it is easier on your shoulders and arms if you do it with a longer towel

Over the last year or two, my neck has become very thin, and showing laxity… I thought a common sense approach to this would be to exercise the neck and build up the muscles in it. I am modified a version of chiropractic neck strengthening and I have to say, within a week or two of doing it it really helped to add volume to my neck. now if I add this in I’m sure that would be the icing on the cake! I’m also using the oral Lift… I do believe the muscles are the star of the show when it comes to laxity, and yes we can take care of our skin but the support underneath is equally important.

@creativesolutionsart-h3o

There is a video called, “ Best exercises to strengthen neck muscles, helps posture“, on a channel called Tone and tighten. I did all the neck exercises in this video plus at the end I added my own version of neck sit ups, where I laid on my back, and hung my head off the edge of my bed, and slowly lifted my neck up with my chin pointing at either shoulder for about three or four reps each which was all I could handle because my Head felt heavier than a bowling ball by that point lol I would advise if you have neck problems or prone to dizziness or migraines, that you go really really slow and work up to what you can handle. I saw results in about two weeks and I don’t even do the exercises that often anymore but I have still maintaining the volume.
