I like this one because of its simplicity. Many other guided meditations are basically continuous monologs. They talk so much you don't get a chance to meditate.

I love this meditation ♥️ so simple and calming. It's one of my favorite ones to come back to. The balloon metaphor is part of what made meditation 'click' for me. I don't like guided meditations that are heavy on visualization and this is perfect

@@TheHonestGuys With the second part of the meditation, spending time just being, is the goal supposed to still be remaining mindful and maintaining concentration? I find that I fall into a dreamlike state without actually completely falling asleep. I feel that for some reason that I'm not spending my time efficiently. I still feel great afterwards!
@mariusleroy88953 жыл бұрын

That's was good! I'd drift off into my sub conscious stream of thought and bring my light of awareness back and become present then continously repeat. As I'd lose my presence the sub conscious automatically kicks in then I'd realise and become aware again. The sub conscious thought patterns literally stop in the tracks when you shine the light of consciousness on it. People spend so much of there time operating from a sub conscious level. Meditation will realise you not that.. but the observer of it all and you can steer and gain some control over it.

i was wondering if working progressively towards 1 hour of meditation was helpful Or ideal to reap deeper benefits?
@TheHonestGuys3 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the individual. We’ve known people meditate for *hours* but for most people that’s not viable. Even 15 minutes a day s better than nothing, and we make sure that we do at least half an hour or more if we can. But I don’t think it’s necessarily the length of time, but doing it daily which helps
@weenerdawg39723 жыл бұрын
@@TheHonestGuys it's viable for me, also i have peak energy in the morning i can easily get anxiety and get attached to it aswell as other thoughts and stop being calmand let other things affect usualyl when something is affecting me i cant sit still and depending on how big the magnitude i can't even focus on something else i started meditating while i was very anxious and actually BEAT IT and detached from my thought was able to stay calm aswell as focus better and more deeply, so this in a way is basically medicine for me, i thought to my self that it is medicine! because i mean what else could i do, i also do exercise but i meditate before so i thought hey, i would like to my improve my ability to meditate, it sure must have increased benefits just like exercising, so that's what i thought

Tbh ive been doin just 10 minutes per meditation but jordan peterson said that its at the 20 minute mark where you really start training your brain I got to 15 last time, but this time i hit 20, the weird thing about this is that whenever i had the desire to open my eyes n check the time id feel this odd sensation in my body Almost like my physical body was sayin "your good, almost there" like it somehow knew i was almost at 20 mins Is it just me or did anyone else feel that kinda soft reassurance from within?
