As a huge trout fly fisher myself, this is just so different from what I’m used to I just can’t look away; from the tackle to the technique. This will change trout fishing for me entirely, I can’t wait to get hands on 😊

Thank you for being open to it. As a fly fisher myself also, I find this way of fishing to be very complimentary 🍻

Such an incredibly fun style of fishing! I have completely fallen in love with BFS fishing for trout now!! Everything about it is fresh, new, and different but extremely familiar and I can’t get enough of it!!! Thank you for shedding light on this style of fishing. It has made me a better angler and definitely has made me enjoy my love for the outdoors in a whole new way!!!🙏🏻👊

I’ve become obsessed with this style of fishing to the point that I’m ready to move to a state with more mountain streams. This content is amazing!

You may not want to have those bells jingling if you move to West Virginia. The mountain men can hear you from a mile away.

This format is insane. I bought two glass rods by the way just for trout fishing. The difference to a carbon fiber rod is huge as the weight of the glass tip itself helps loading the rod and glass is significantly slower which helps getting the right release point. I still have to train my thumb though. Thanks for such a high level entertainment!

Awesome content. Hope more people give bfs a try. It’s so fun cause you can catch everything from dinks to monsters. I do river bank fishing and it’s mostly smallmouth but caught a nice northern pike on a Megabass bfs sr griffon. So fun fighting it

Dude! I love bfs whether in small creeks and bayous at home in Louisiana for small bass, crappie and bream or in the mountain jungle streams of Thailand where my wife's from for a host of smaller fish that I have know idea what they're called other than snakehead, tilapia, and an occasional eel. It is easily one of the most fun ways to fish and thank you guys for bringing us a wealth of knowledge from the BFS jedi! Edit: also shoutout to Simm's for their bugstopper line of clothing, it has probably saved me from malaria and west nile more than a few times.

Hey guys so I have a question about the destroyer evolouzion I can’t devlcide between the f7 med taper white python or super Diablo type l med taper f5.5 for mainly single hook baits and half ounce jigs no one’s been awnsering so a little info would be nice explaining both and what they would be good for 👍 tight lines!

I'm no fly fisherman but always wanted to try it. Coming more from a bass fishing background. So far I've really struggled with accuracy on such a whippy UL rod. I hook hard one way or the other. 1 thing I found particularly fascinating is lighter braid to heavier leader... This is contrary to what I've generally heard so far but it's coming from a master so must be some gold there.. Is that more of a fly fishing trick? Does it aid in adding more heft to the light lure?

I love to throw big baits but recently bought a bfs setup from you guys and I love fishing it! In the fall w all the baby baitfish in my pond the bfs griffons get bit! I never thought I’d enjoy throwing smaller baits but since I fish my pond almost everyday the bass have become accustomed my go to baits and will not bite! Switching to bfs has gotten me some big fish and man is it a blast to catch bigger fish on a lighter setup. A 3 pounder feels like an 8😂👊🏻.

I absolutely have fallen in love with BFS style fishing for trout. The same OSP Durga 73 that I am using for bass also works great for trout. There are many other examples of cross over lures but that is a big draw for me!

I know this is off topic but do the GG and GP colors of Megabass jerkbaits work good in water clarity between two and four feet? I’ll probably get some soon and want to get the best colors for my lake.
@thehookuptackle_usa Жыл бұрын
Both could be good, but the GG is generally better in stained water

If I had to make an anology on the culture, its like a motorhead tgat likes working on his 65 Mustang to that of a guy that rocks a Ferrari. There are a LOT of fishing motorheads in Japan, its a big part of the hobby here and takes it further than just a day on the water. Mods & maintenance are a huge part of the culture here. My neighbor has regular club meetings where they just get together and work on reels all day.

You have to laugh at the fact that he’s using Seaguar while the rest of us are paying big bucks for Sunline. 😊
@gman69455 Жыл бұрын
I mean across the board on comparable lines they are basically the same price. The seaguar we are use to in store in the US isn’t the same as the JDM. Seaguar is a Japanese company and competitor to Sunline and Varivas in Japan.
@thehookuptackle_usa Жыл бұрын
He’s using expensive Seaguar not junk Seaguar. And Sunline is pretty inexpensive compared to most

just use berkley vanish and call it a day.
@andranslam5017 Жыл бұрын
@@IronMikeyTyou don’t want to be using USDM vanish, I used to use JDM vanish revolution premium and that’s the good stuff, the USDM model makes your lures disappear. Haven’t managed to find revolution or revo premium here in Canada yet, gonna stock up when visiting Asia again.
