The only company I know of to actually make a better rendition of the Castaic hard heads which where my favorite back then. Now that they're discontinued this offers some availability to that product it also looks way more refined and two hangers vs one like the old castaic had.

Castaic baits did that many years ago. I think it was their first baits. I still have some Castaic bluegills. They made a Shad also. One of the local guides caught a 10 lb bass on one and ask me to take a picture of him holding it. GoPros weren’t even invented back then.

3:10 Couldn't you just loop the hook with the braid like a palomar knot instead of using a split ring?
@thehookuptackle_usa11 ай бұрын
In theory - yes. But the braid is the perfect length to attach the split ring, and not extra long to wrap around a hook.
@iGoVroomVroom11 ай бұрын
@@thehookuptackle_usa ah gotcha, thanks for the headsup, would be cool if they made it a little longer, would make it easier to attach/detach the hook since you wouldn’t need pliers

@dupont24x11 ай бұрын
Expensive? LMAO Go buy some Berkley rip-off baits.
@comfortablynumb934211 ай бұрын
@@dupont24x I don't need expensive baits. I fish in the saltwater and my lures aren't very expensive. Gulp tails are a little costly but they catch fish. I don't have any of their hard baits and don't need them.
@jayshields669611 ай бұрын
It's like a modern, well designed version of the old castaic lipped hybrids. Can't wait for Berkley to win best in show with the Ike approved cheap ripoff of it next year.
