This video was a wild ride. I saw the title and thought "oh no. a 1st gen drift camaro? probably LS swapped with some IRS conversion." Then as the video went on turns out its a 383 small block. Not even EFI but carbureted with a mechanical fuel pump! With a Solid rear axle! Then he threw down some nasty skids in the lot. Thats my boy right there. Just the sound out of those side pipes... That is why you don't LS swap.

I mean you can drift in any RWD car with an LSD or spool. Its all about the technique in drift vs powerslide. With stuff like Formula D the definition of drift is starting to get blurred though. I still think flooring 1000hp, cranking your front wheels to 70 degrees, and ripping on a handbrake isn't drifting, but some will argue semantics.

Replacing SLA with McPherson i the dumbest idea i've ever heard. C6 knuckles with short steering arms, anti Ackerman, longer, narrower control arms and rack and pinion is the way to go. Not some crappy McPherson with massive dynamic changes in geometry.

My brothers who are 12 years+ older than me, one got a 69 camaro ss and a few years later sold it to my other brother who stayed a frame off restoration. The body was all primed and rebuilt motor with everything better than stock that just needed to be put in when he moved from PA to Hawaii. A guy came all the way from Florida to but the car for $2000. A few months went by when the guy called him to tell him it was actually a yenko that someone must have wanted a sleeper or something. My brother was sick to his stomach! Me being only around 7 at the time i wasn't sick to my stomach until years later when it hit me that he wanted to give me the car.....
