The fight choreography of Chris vs Wesker was almost entirely a shot-for-shot recreation of a fight from RE5 the game. That scene shows that Paul WS Anderson is actually pretty familiar with the games but actively chooses to ignore it for the most part. This movie actually references several things from RE5 the game.

The movie version was more competent in finishing off his opponents unlike the game version that always let them live even when he had the chance to kill them. Anything else would be spoilers, but yeah, we can talk about it later.

Chris Redfield is played here by Wentworth Miller, who is probably best-known for his role in Prison Break. He was also the recurring villain/antihero Captain Cold in The Flash TV series and Legends of Tomorrow. You'll also see him again later in season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though only in one episode.

I really love how you react to these movies. I grew up with the Resident Evil movies, and I remember everyone always complaining, “They're not like the games.” While that's true, I still found them highly entertaining. It's great to see you guys enjoying these bonkers movies as well.

I saw this at the cinema when it came out. If I'm perfectly honest, this is the best 3D movie I've seen in my entire life. They made use of the gimmick in really clever ways that you can't appreciate when you watch it like this. This film has a lot of rain and flow of water going on. They layered all that water in different planes and they made it seem like each layer was at a different depth. It really was mind blowing to behold. It also made this movie very challenging to film for the director. I believe this is one of the only movies that is actually worth it to watch it in 3D.

Not really. Almost the entire plot of Retribution was lifted directly from the novel Resident Evil: Underworld that came out over 20 years ago. The facility was in Nevada in the book and had way more interesting monsters. The facility from Extinction was also taken from that book.

Almost everything in this movie was brought over from RE5 from the zombies having the majini tendrils coming out of their mouths, the dogs heads splitting and the Chris and Claire v. Wesker fight. This movie came out a year after RE5 and it was the most over the top re at the time so it made complete sense that this movie would take that and crank it up by 100 😂
