I'm kinda glad they didn't go all out on the social commentary, over that stuff in slasher movies after the Halloween trilogy.

I'm from Massachusetts. Yes the performances were over the top but they're actually people like that in reality here. 😂😎

Yeah Eli Roth was an intern/PA on Howard Stern's Private Parts movie. That's where Howard first connected with him. Thanksgiving was fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it's got that 80s Canadian slasher feel to it. Ironically set in Plymouth Massachusetts, it was actually Canada. 😂

I've never seen a good slasher movie that didn't take itself seriously. Or even an AVERAGE slasher movie.

Dude it was so fun! And love Eli Roth’s love of gore!

We’re right there with you, Lee! This is the best original slasher I’ve seen since Scream back in ‘96. I want more and I think John Carver has the potential to be the next great slasher icon 🦃

I saw an advanced screening aswell as on opening night. The only criticism I’ve heard so far was from this drunk guy sitting in the same theatre aisle as me. To be fair, I don’t think he was a horror fan lol but aside from that, everyone has praised the movie. It’s my favourite of Eli Roth’s movies.

I was really hoping for the conitnues Grindhouse vibe but I will check it out regardless.

If you’re a fan of slasher films then I can say that you won’t be disappointed. One of the best in the sub-genre that I’ve seen in a long time

Does it have Roth’s spotty dialogue in it?

At times. Not terrible though.

@@TheHorrorShowChannel Nust watched it. It was ok. Dempsey being the killer was telegraphed form his opening line about being good around the kitchen (considering what is to come). From the first minute I knew who the killer was so a lot of the fun was lost. The kids looking like they are 30 while still in high school, some of the dialogue (everyone magically knowing golden arms stats every time they talk to him at the beginning of the film so that we understand he’s good at baseball), it was all just average. That is to say, it was very Eli Roth.

They didn't have the nude trampoline scene. Boo!

Yep. That would be too offensive in our modern times

@@mrmansion8672 Your grammar is pretty offensive. Cry because they don't do something the way we have already seen it in the trailer from Grindhouse, idiot.
