How To Make a Multi-Bootable USB with Ventoy - Boot Multiple ISO Files From One USB!

In this video I will show you how to make a multi-bootable USB flash drive with Ventoy. This will allow you to boot multiple different ISO files from one USB. No longer will you need a separate USB to install different versions of Windows or Linux distributions!

great video, thanks, Please note: user can't partition the drive before installing Ventoy, partitions will be deleted during the installation UNLESS, user select the partition option from within Ventoy installation file (3rd option in the drop down list)... One more thing, windows iso files are larger than 4Gb means we can't use FAT32 format option, we have to select either NTFS or exFAT in Ventoy menu before installing the software

Ya well, I created that Ventoy USB. I put several operating systems on it. Now, I don't know if it was the Ventoy or something else, but I could not install my Zorin Linux distro with it. The Win 10 distro was erased but then the Linux distro would not boot to the hard disk, so I ended up using it on the USB stick until I could re-install Win 10 again. It said something about partitions which is above my pay grade anyway. So I will stick with Win 10 even when they stop the support for it. I'm 78 years old now so Win 10 will probably outlast me for sure. I even miss Win 7. I just hate the monopoly Microsoft has!

In the BIOS you can go to the advanced tab > ROG Effects and turn off Onboad LED. If the lighting is coming from RGB fans or other components, you'll probably need to turn it off in a software like Asus Aura Sync.

I made my 320gb external hdd as a bootable storage that came from an old destroyed laptop. I use 120gb for vento that was partiioned in vento..and the 200gb unallocated part was for normal storage..I just found out about vento on tiktok comment lol because we ususally use rufus for a single iso.

I think it's because it's indeed an ISO-file, even if it's a "bootable live environment", it's not like a properly installed operating-system. For that, you need to use one OS and install it with its own dedicated installer, which in turn will also use the "entire" drive, or at least a partition on it. - In a way, Ventoy is the main OS in this case.

You don't need to format the usb stick before installing Ventoy, it asks you if you want to format it before it installs the program. It also warns you that everything will be erased on the stick

Does anyone else also have the problem i have? Installing ventoy goes easy and without problems, copying iso files also is a piece of cake and everything shows up in my test system. However when i mount the drive (open its directory) to create some folders and after that eject or unplug it and plug it back into the test system a lot of my iso files are gone Although they are installed on the usb and are supported. The internet gave me no awnser at all. I use windows as the os. Although i heard from people that windows likes to make tiny changes to files that mostly dont affect any files but my iso files where affected and now they dont show up, they are the same size as before i mounted it. Please help me fix it

It is possible. You will need to install a VHD Boot Plugin for Ventoy and install Windows on a virtual hard disk file (this could probably be done in a Virtual Machine), then put the VHD file on the USB and boot to it. The ventoy website doesn't provide the ISO images to download. It just tells you ones that work. You need to download the ISO for the OS you want to put on the USB form their website. For example Microsoft's website to get the Windows 10 ISO or the Ubuntu website for the Ubuntu ISO.
