Man, I hear you! Times have sure changed, unfortunately.... Many decades ago when a long range trip like this cost a fraction of what it is today, diesel was 20 cents a gallon at the Clearwater Marina fuel dock and a Second Mate deckhand on a party boat made $16 a day wage for an all-day trip. I know! I did it. I don't know what the answer is here in the 21st century.
