Amusing that the LTT is so good that a duty gun can be compared to a dedicated competition gun within a competition context. Something to be said for a duty pistol that can double as a topnotch competition gun. Also, the match hammer option for the LTT trigger job eliminates most of that SA take-up. Good job bringing out the Mantis to measure recoil rather than relying only on feelings like most reviewers. Again, amusing that the significantly lighter gun with the higher bore axis is nonetheless so well-designed that it has objectively less muzzle flip. LTT really has single-handedly breathed new life into the platform. Thanks for the video!

If my memory serves me correct, my agency had the Beretta 92 and the flared slide in the front is designed specifically to allow you to “pinch” tue slide there thus functioning tue slide. The slide serrations are technically not even necessary. I was told the same thing at the armors school I was sent to. However we were told NOT to do this, rather operate the slide from the rear serrations. They didn’t want troopers to shoot their fingers I guess?

Hope it helps! If you want to do less maintenance - then the Beretta seems to be the way to go - if you can't stand your hand being at the edge of the grip then maybe the CZ is the way to go. The bore axis on the CZ is lower - but due to action and where the mass is on the slide - the Beretta shoots softer.

I sold all my da/sa guns. If I am to buy another again it will be the 92 rdo worked over from LTT, without a doubt. I liked my cz hammer fire offerings but I never loved it. I wanted to but I couldn't get there. I hated how everyone of them I needed a trigger job to even enjoy the DA pull. My Sphinx sdp stacked and I really hated that one. I even had the cz sp01 shadow because I hated the back hump on the grip of the s2. It was the last one to have finally gone though. While it was a great, I felt I had to convince myself I loved it because of the additional parts/money I added to it. This 92 has been something I've been eyeing for a couple months. From everything I've seen, read and watched about the LTT 92 rdo, its everything I wanted to love with my cz but didn't. Am I crazy? I guess im just a striker fire guy. Most of the ones I own don't need any work, Beretta apx rdo, Canik tp9sf elite combat executive, cz p10c, aside from just a shoe only change on the m&p shield. Going into the video i had a feeling since I saw your other videos on your LTT 92 that it was your preference and going to be what had the nod. Did not disappoint

The only thing I don't like about the 92 A1 is that its rail from the side appears to be descending from the triggerguard onwards, for me it afects the design.

Just wanted to mention that the trigger return spring on the Beretta is also a known breakage point, and should generally be swapped out every 10000 rounds or so (I've seen some people recommend even lower). I'm a huge 92 fanboy, but I wouldn't consider it to be more reliable/durable than the 75 platform. Both have quirks regarding certain parts, and the 92 mags specifically really don't like any dirt, sand, grit etc. Finding their way inside.

you could always get the sand resistant magazines made by Beretta. I always replace the trigger return spring with a Wilson Combat chrome silicon spring, its much heavier duty

Out of the box? The LTT RDO is probably "best" - good grips, killer trigger, good mount. Difficult to reload and slide manipulate. Some people cannot abide berettas though. The Shadow 2 OR has an "ok" trigger before work, the grips are slick, no optics ready plate included. You fix all that stuff it's a fire breather. The new Sig P320MAX should be pretty squared away out of the box - including a decent optic.

@TheHumbleMarksman4 жыл бұрын
The beretta is the softest shooter of the lot - the glock has less muzzle climb than either. I prefer the blockier grips on the Beretta and the CZ - though the difference isn't severe. They're not wildly different with a good grip.
@johnherian7814 жыл бұрын
Shooter's need to understand that bio mechanics play a huge role in recoil management.From the bottom off your feet to the top of your head. The 92,glock 34 and the CZ all have different design characteristics to mediate recoil.No one gun fits all. Tactical Performance Center has great videos on the science of shooting.Every top shooter incorporates bio mechanics.
@joeyassyrian4 жыл бұрын
@@johnherian781 This is completely true, problem is, people define recoil as a calculated value based on the bullet used and the weight of the pistol. What they don't take into account which are huge factors in recoil are, like you said, bio mechanics, how much contact does your hands make with the surface area of the pistol, how does the pistol sit relative to your arms/wrists (bore axis), how does the mechanics of the pistol bleed off energy, how does the pistol transfer energy to the end user. On a calculated basis the shadow 2 has the least amount of recoil but I've found the action to be so violent and non-linear that the Beretta and Glocks shoot much softer for me than any other gun I've tried.

@@joeyassyrian Yes,I like my LTT Elite and G-19 also for that reason.Thinking of getting the cut slide for the 92 and shoot both limited and carry optics next year.

I'm so hipster, I shoot a Shadow 1. No scarf, though. It's not like I'm worried about Australian jumping spiders or any----ahhhhh!

@@TheHumbleMarksman Nah, you're to old for this shit.^^ I hope they improve their design on their upcoming pistols. The 92 model is just beautiful.

Fun fact,the beretta ejects blanks more reliable,why you see them alot on the screen.

I’ll go out on a limb during the intro and probably guess the CZ out performs the Beretta.

They perform about the same - but my preference is the 92.

Cajun S2 > Beretta LTT > 92x Performance. That’s my personal preference.

Haven't gotten to play with a 92XP yet - it's on the list.

Prefer my LTT over my Shadow 2. And got tired of changing broken trigger return springs and slide stops.
@TheHumbleMarksman4 жыл бұрын
Interesting - I thought the shadow 2 slide stop was good to go? How long would one of yours make it?
@ryant56524 жыл бұрын
TheHumbleMarksman well I should clarify. That was kind of a misleading statement. I didn’t break mine on my shadow 2. Just trigger return springs. So it very well may be good. Was kind of referring to CZ in general.
@FishFind3000 Жыл бұрын
@@ryant5652 I haven’t broken my slide stop on my CZ yet and I’m at 10k+ rounds. Some of which was a good part of 124gr nato and some +p defensive ammo. Mine is a sp-01 tactical suppressor ready model so they came with super heavy recoil springs so that might have helped it survive longer.

m9a3 has even a better track record than Glock. CZ has no chance of winning this round.
