@@portcullis5622 I don't keep up with developments but I remember hearing that the format that will be accepted in the Olympics is 20/20 back in the day. My cricket viewing must've began around when Obama was elected president and lasted till Trott dropped out of the English squad( that is from 2008 to 2015). I still hang on here and there but I really don't see the point any more. I don't know why I feel this way whether it is the effect of the game changing or change in myself or both or something else all together. Everything is quicker now; like young people have no qualms watching tiktok like videos which last but 30 seconds or so.

I’m really not a fan of the formate it’s humiliating for bowlers it’s just hit and hope slogging cricket has become a entertainment to gain more money mammmy I played cricket today I bowled 10 balls did you get any wickets ? No but I got hit for lots of 6s and over 50 runs 😆👏but hey ho.

I honestly think that it will probably all end with them using a bowling machine bowling slow full tosses, just so that every ball can be hit for six. Eventually, the novelty will wear off and most people will get bored with it. The main appeal of cricket for most fans is the challenge between bat and ball. Heavier bats, smaller boundaries and restrictions on bowlers and field placings have made this format ridiculous.
