I got a GPX 5000 , it does not pick up the very small stuff like the gold monster but I can use the machine anywhere like on the beach and that, and order a water proof coil. I have the small coil on my equnox 800 and it can find the small pieces of gold, not much behind from the gold monster and it's fully submersible. When detecting in a small group we notice the Gold monster Hates EMI when there is multable detectors in one small area. The equinox 800 did not have that issue.

i gotta say this is so coincident! i just bought a last production year White Gold Monster 5 coil 1000 MD through a shop in Florida for $819 free shipping, no sales tax, not like eBay paying high CA sales tax and shipping. this saving alone is about $100 or more. this video really helped me even further. from the look of this versatile MD will do what i have been looking for gold prospecting. i have the Garrett AT Pro for nearly ten years now, shooting for parks' coins, fake jewelries, and other relics. now i have a real gold hunter MD will do just the gold for river and creek. this video really helped and simple to use. thanks for putting on and your time. better yet, i can recharge the lithium batteries.

Could you sometime do a comparison of this detector and the Garrett AT Gold? I sure would be interested in seeing one. Also would like to see a comparison of the two Nokta Makro Gold machines against the Garrett AT Gold and the Gold Monster, just curious to know how they all compare to each other.
@thehuntergt4 жыл бұрын
Being a multi-brand dealer for those 3 companies - comparison videos are not something I am interested in doing any longer. I can tell you that this GM1000 is for sure more sensitive to tiny pickers than the AT is. It is easily the better gold prospecting machine for a dedicated gold hunter. That being said, the AT will do much better in iron. It is a proven relic hunter, where as this is just average at it. If you want to JUST gold prospect....the GM1000 is the one. If you want to do some serious relic hunting and coin shooting as well - I would go for the AT Pro or Gold Kruzer.

"All-metal" will sound off on everything...all metals. The other "gold mode" so to speak...is a discrimination mode that silences the ferrous (iron) signals. So yes, it will for sure still hit the coins.

You can probably get a way of using it in a playgrounds but if you use it in a park that you know that does not have gold bits in there then you will pick up every little small bit of cut up aluminum. This appears to be a beginners nugget machine. One of the most important tests is how it handles highly mineralized soil where a lot of gold is found. A deal breaker for me is....it has no adjustable threshold which is important... Gold Kruzer has. Many features for prospectors that this doesn’t have...including wireless head phones and three pound weight. Thanks for the review !
@thehuntergt4 жыл бұрын
It is for sure geared towards beginners. It is doing the "complicated" work like ground balancing and sensitivity adjustments behind the scenes. There is not even a threshold adjustment. It is a single freq VLF at 45khz...so it should do "decent in most harsh soils. If depth is the biggest concern...I'd save up for the expensive Minelabs.

TheHunterGT I was intimidated by the amount of setting to the gold Kruzer but to my surprise with minimal adjustment I’ve been able to recover extremely small non ferrous from bedrock crevices (nothing seriously deep mind you) no gold but the smallest birdshot they make I’m pretty sure with absolutely zero gold prospecting experience or experience with a gold specific machine I did have to adjust the iSat to a level of 4 for a smooth threshold maybe lost depth idk I still recover extremely small nonferrous digging the whispers I know it’s off the topic of the unit in the video but I believe it’s still relevant because the monster looks even easier to use yet so anyone that thinks turn on and go design is inadequate or won’t translate well to performance or vice versa think they will be lost in to much settings and functionality believe me you can trust these engineers they know what there doin and they do it well another great video 👍
@thehuntergt4 жыл бұрын
@@treasurehuntingnewyork5979 Even I was a little intimidated by the GK lol...it was more than I expected from a gold prospecting machine. A true "all rounder" as far as finding gold goes. This Monster is very straightforward in comparison to options...but not performance. I was quite impressed with how easily it hit that small piece. I agree...these engineers absolutely know what they are doing....thankfully! As far as ISat...it will lose depth slightly, but the same way with this one in Auto or Auto+....it will lose depth there as well. Any sort of "auto" this or that...usually comes at a cost. The GK and Monster both handle that greatly in my opinion.

unless you are a china PLA, you might get your hand on one. i was in Hainan Island using this AT Pro, got lotta of curious looker thinking i'm looking for mine. they won't even dare to ask what's going on. when i was in Hong Kong at the beach, people wanted to buy one but one has to know the Aussie dealer and not cheap. found lotta of coins on the beach. the HK bank won't redeem the coins, so i used them to buy soda in the machine. in US i roll them with some new coins so the bank can recycle them in circulation. that's why i don't really care for the coins, like real gold nugget any time. that's why i bought the MineLab gold monster 1000. i just sold my AT Pro on eBay for $370, nearly got my money back, since i got it ten years ago for $479 before it went up in price. i believe this MineLab is a great investment. once i get the hang of using this gadget, it should be a big investment and fun hobby.

Hi John, I hope all has been good. Great to watch and listen too another un-boxing and review. Say it as it is...Nokta/Makro 61 kHz Gold Kruzer, for me: it's a great Au hunter, that as you correctly said, has 'other qualities'. The GK will also find tiny coinage, and minute jewellry in amongst massively contaminated roman and medieval sites in Europe.....at quite reasonable depths... However, definitely 'To each their own,' my friend. Mine- lab has a long history for producing very effective gold hunters. But no "Waltzing Matilda", for me. take care man. ATVB.
