Hi how about if the Land Ranger Pro finds a coin that is not from the US, lets say its a European Coin or South American coin would it detect it as a coin too? How would the LRP register those coins? Thanks.
@thehuntergt
@thehuntergt 6 жыл бұрын
It depends on the conductivity of the metal the coin is made from. If they are brass - copper - silver....they will be a high or mid tone. Canada has steel coins I think...so that would be iron range most likely and give a low tone. I have dug a few foreign coins and they have always been well above iron and into the "coin range". You do not have to use the coin mode either...you can always set this up to hit any coin from any country if you use one of the 3 custom modes.

I currently use the lone star pro. I love it! the land ranger seems like the notching process is kinda weird. but I do like it form what your video shows. but bounty hunter is a great deal. and they ate surprisingly rugged as well. I'd suggest getting a rain jacket or something like that for that machine. you seem to like it a lot.
@thehuntergt
@thehuntergt 8 жыл бұрын
+EagTalon92 Rain jacket and DD coil cover are on the way! I love my Lone Star Pro as well....and actually prefer the multiple notch system it employs better than the Land Ranger Pro.. However the LRP has VCO and a V-Break that combined with an adjustable notch make it very adjustable to how the user wants it.

Thanks GT family for the videos... thanks Hunter GT for the LRP Videos; I ordered one a couple days ago to try out.. I currently have a F75 se ltd and my inherited 1260x.. along with a couple Tesoro's and my daughters BH junior..I was looking for a decent machine to leave out of state where I work; that wouldn't break the bank. You sold it to me... I look forward to giving it a try. I think you do a great job representing First Texas honestly and objectively. Also, it feels good to purchase and own products from my home state. Keep up the good work. Danny..

Thanks for watching Danny...we appreciate your support and the nice comment. Glad to hear you are sold on the LRP...it is a great machine and as of today I have another on the way. So more videos to come with it for sure. In my opinion is probably the best price to performance ratio in all of detecting. Check out our website at www.thehuntergt.com where we have a new forum as well.

my tesoro compadre is super simple but super sensitive. you were using a BB. in this video....my compadre will pick up an earring back. ibe tried it I couldn't believe it! and it has the older 7" coil. so the fancy machines are not always best. it's how you use what you have.
@thehuntergt
@thehuntergt 8 жыл бұрын
+EagTalon92 Just ran to see if this LRP could do the same with an earring back...hit it at 4 inches in all metal and 3 in Jewelry mode. Crazy what these "cheap" and "toy" detectors can do. Many good finds have been found with Compadres and Lone Star Pros in the $150 range...many many good finds. I always think price to performance when I buy.....and I've had my eye on this Land Ranger Pro for quite a while now. For the price of $250-300 that it can be bought at...not many come close feature and performance wise.
@EagTalon92
@EagTalon92 8 жыл бұрын
+TheHunterGT I agree, for the features and price it's pretty much unbeatable. that great that it picked up the earring back at those depths. its not the deepest, but it's good. I can't really think of anything smaller that could potentially be a valuable metal to test with either. but the earring back is a hard rest to pass for most detectors. looking forward to some now hideous since weather is getting better. keep up the good work man!

Sorry for late reply. Gold will fall from 20 to 60 on the LRP. Anything that beeps in that range can "possibly" be gold. However, that is where 99% of the trash range is as well. Good luck!

@thehuntergt
@thehuntergt 8 жыл бұрын
Sensitivity is the setting in the menu from 1-10. It is how deep the machine goes basically. Ground Balance is done by pressing the Ground Grab button and pumping the coil 1-6 inches from the ground. It will read the ground minerals and adjust itself to it.

Hell Dania. The first suggestion is read the manual twice...and watch this video twice. Then just turn it on and choose one of the 3 preset modes. C for Coin...A for Artifacts (or relics)...And J for Jewelry. Once you get familiar with those setting...you can branch out into the custom mode with Vbreak and Notching. It really is a great detector.

My detecting is neither vandalism nor destruction in any way We as Hobbyist to this recreation leave no trace that we were there. Further more no where did i find that any thing lost belongs to the city. I have contacted many groups on this subject and they have never been told they can not detect for old coins or lost rings and such that could possabley be returned to the person who lost them. I do hope we can keep this issue open and come to some meeting in the middle on this to just say no is not a resolution but a uneducated reply to some thing no one has a clue to what we do. We do not destroy property we leave no trace behind and we remove things such as bottle tops glass pull tabs and the like from the ground that may harm children or others in the park. In closing i would hope your self and Mr. Huff would reconsider your decision to just say no and keep this on the table for discussions. i JUST PAID $299 FOR A FISHER F5,... WITH 5 EXTRA'S,......SO i DON'T HAVE MUCH RESPECT FOR BOUNTY HUNTERS. Because I think I have only heard of 3 with pinpoint mode. They have crafty catch phrase names and after that they fizzle out other than being vague and ambiguous,......meaning I can't find out easily does it have Adjustable Threshold? Does it have Adjustable Discrimination? Does it have Manual ground ballance or fixed or both. you need to know the depth the Detector go's to know if you want it,... deeper is better and you must know the frequency and how many specialty coils there are for it. Kellyco seems to in the past help you by providing that information. From what I see with the quick draw pro you would be better off buying a fisher F11 for $153,......or a F22 for $229.00 because they have modes and features for less.And Teknetics has some detectors I'd pick over that one. The only tempting one they have is the Time ranger pro,.......And I'd go F-11, F22,.F44 with DD coill is $13 dollars more on amazon, or F19 or gold Bug. look on metal detectors .com there's good detectors cheap now. call ballistic products if you want plated lead various shot they might hook you up. Most Bounty Hunters lack features but want as much as far better detectors.

Bounty Hunter "Pro" series run at 7.7kHz just like the Fisher F11-22-44 do...and the F5 you bought. The Tracker 4 is one of the best selling detectors of all time - well into 2022. Bounty Hunter is owned by the same company that owns Teknetics and Fisher - and often utilize the exact same internals.
