Now this is just what the doctor ordered Charles! After watching your comparisons I have to go with the Purple Hammer or the NU Blue Hammer. Toss up personally for me and if I had to get one it would be the purple just because it doesn't absorb oil. Easier clean up. Thanks Charles it really helped.

I love my purple hammer but that tank yellow jacket is a game changer for me, took it from box @1000 to 3000 and it’s money on cheetah especially, I hardly throw the purple anymore. But it’s good to see them all compared in a video. Thanks for the great content my dude!!😎

Charles, that Yellow Tank moves as much as my plastic spare ball. The NU Hammer is nice, but nothing can mimic the action of true urethane. You may want to adjust your hand release on the Purple Hammer and Pitch Black. Releasing with your thumb at 10:30-11 o'clock may get you better results. I can throw my Pitch Black 1-2 mph faster than my Reactive balls and still get it to come back from the 3 board to destroy the pocket.

This makes absolute sense. As you're throwing 2 true urethanes and a urethane like in the Tank, you're creating the carrydown as urethane normally does. The NU being not urethane is still going to soak up the oil that the other 3 balls are pushing down the lane, so of course it's going to take off as it does when it exits the pattern. When Charles throws it over 5 and slowing it down where the traditional urethanes are sliding from catching the carrydown, it gives a great look. I'd love to see the NU Blue Hammer on this pattern versus the BW Purple Pearl Urethane or the BW Pink Pearl Urethane, as as the Widows should still catch the carrydown, but I'd wonder how the core would cause them to pick and roll compared to the NU.

I have 2 blue hammers already. One 1000 grit box finish pin up for one handing and a 2000 grit for two handing. The ball is perfect for one handers with medium rev rates.

You have the best ball review videos on KZbin. I am a Hammer guy so I also like BrunsNick alot as well. Can I make one suggestion? I know you tell us the layout but it would be helpful to new bowlers like me to actually show the pin position. 45×5×30 (or whatever) doesn't mean anything to me but I know that if the pin is up right the ball is drilled more aggressive than the pin in between the bridge and even more aggressive than a pin down. Appreciate your even considering the matter. As I said I really like your videos and I have been able to really improve my game by watching you bowl. Thank you.

2 constants that I have found while watching most ball review channels is the "Big Hooking Ball, " and the balls are going to work well for "THS" conditions when most of these balls are simply too much for THS conditions by design. Its so irritating. I love the hype channel due to very important information provided during the reviews that almost always provides a usable context that can be utilized as decision points towards ball purchase, "Where im standing, hand position, down-lane targeting, rev rate." Most other channels do not provide this information. I do understand this is a much older post but I came here for the review of the widow solid Urethane ball. Thanks again.

I came to the same conclusion that you did throwing the NU. Is it urethane? Absolutely not. It is controllable and very round in shape. However its still a reactive ball. I DO think however it is a very good option to throw alongside urethane as it moves early and can easily control the pocket with it. I have been throwing some big scores with it. I am a high rev rate 2 hander and it is a lot of times much more controllable that other options I currently own.

One of your best videos ever. This tells me everything about the NU that no other videos have so far. NU is resin, 100% and is not like Purple at all. NU retains backend energy through all that dry of the short pattern while the urethanes and MCP ball burn up in the front and need straighter projections to make it to the pocket. This also tells me that what the Pros want out of urethane will not be found in the NU. On sport it is too "Resin like" to replace urethane. Honestly, Pitch Black, the earliest of all the balls, looked best on this pattern when thrown correctly in the proper part of the lane. Thank you!

I am sorry.. Most of your videos are interesting but this makes no sense... Throwing that many urethane on the lane would kill the pattern by pushing the oil down the lane.. Urethanes are designed to play the back of the ball... You are hoping the ball will switch direction and not going to happen...

On patterns typically if one person uses urethane the whole pair pulls it out. That’s the point you give your self hold and play into. For the purpose of the video yes I try to give each ball room to see if they will hook or shape any differently if I just simply fired all of them straight up the lane for 15 mins the not many people would continue to watch. The goal isn’t to strike every shot, the goal is to show the difference.
