Glad you recognized Hocevar, he had multiple top 10 runs borderline top 5s in a spire car that while improved was still like a 20th place car, he got so much out of that car that shouldn't have been there, and with all this extra support they're getting now with veterans crew chiefs, veteran leadership, and tier 1 chevy supprt now they're gonna be sleeper hit team for the playoffs not just carson but Haley and Mcdowell too, Carson is most likely though of them, his raw talent is undeniable, just gotta keep his head on straight and not make bonehead moves

Logano had 4 race wins last year and was top 10 in points from August to the end of the season. People seem to forget all of Ford was slow to start and Logano had several races where he got wrecked out. That entire prediction seems to be based on Ford running as slow as they did last year which is just extremely unlikely to happen.

I've been a hocevar fan since he started in trucks. I was afraid with him jumping straight to spire cup car i was afraid he was gonna suck. Thankfully he drove the wheels off that car. The top 3 at Watkins glen was basically a win for me. I was hoping svg and buscher would take each other out and steal a win but top 3 in a spire car is still one hell of an accomplishment.

I'm biased but I think Preece is a sleeper. He was the best SHR driver in the final 10 races of 2024 and is in the best equipment he's ever had. I think if he can just clean up his running up front, as he has taken himself out of several top 10s (Sonoma, the last two Texas races, 2023 Roval and 2023 Martinsville for instance) he's going to be a threat

Personally, I'd like a 15-driver playoff with three rounds of three races apiece. Top ten in points get in, plus five wild cards (winners between 11th and 30th followed by non-winners if necessary). I think that alone would get rid of the singular championship race problem and weaken the win and your in problem.

As a Logano fan, even I am concerned about our chances of making the playoffs next year. It is obvious Team Penske supplies the cars with almost nothing in the regular season, and they seem to trust Logano to drive his way into a win with 20th place race cars every week. They are gonna be in for a nasty surprise next year

He's obviously the favorite at Chicago and I'd say it's reasonable to say he's the favorite at Mexico, too, but COTA isn't exactly his style of track and the rest of the field has SO MUCH data and experience at Sonoma. I expect him to put up a fight at every road course, but you aren't giving the talent in the Cup field nearly enough credit to say he's winning 4 races. 1 or 2 would be a really good year for him.

Honestly, I feel like Cindric is gonna win a superspeedway race this year (if I had to pick one, spring atl), and then for some reason my brain wants to say Riley Herbst is gonna make the playoffs. Not sure why exactly? I don’t think he’ll be good this year, but for some reason I feel like he’s gonna be idk 25th in points most of the year, but one day he’ll show up and randomly run super well (and at like a short track or an intermediate, a track that requires skill) but then be bad for the rest of the season still and get eliminated in the round of 16. Penske's reign in the Next Gen is going to end this year. If nothing extravagant happens like in Gateway and Cindric wins by surprise, I see him below the top 20 in points. Logano has to win or be consistent to achieve it. And Blaney is the most reliable to even aspire to reach Phoenix, it is obvious that by victory or consistency he will qualify without problems.

I mean let's be real here: Logano's performance has been in a steady decline since 2018. When you look at stats like avg finish, Top 10 finishes or Top 5 finishes almost literally they were getting worse every single year. The last time Logano was a regular top-end contender was 2015-2016 and then again 2018. Since then he just hasn't been that good

So far everyone has logano missing the playoffs. I literally don't understand why. Since joining penske he missed the playoffs once and he even got a win that season it was just encumbered. Logano is a LOCK for the playoffs I think. And I think he can prove the even year thing wrong this year and make it back to the final 4. But there is NO scenario where the champ will miss the playoffs.

Everyone is sleeping on Kaulig Racing! That team picked up Ty Norris who made DEI, Michael Waltrip Racing, and Trackhouse Racing good! Made Spire sneak in the top 20 in some races! I think Trackhouse, 23XI Racing, RKF, and Front Row could take have growing pains with expending to 3 car teams! I am not saying that it's going to happen however, I am saying if any or all teams struggle it shouldn't be a surprise! Front Row and 23XI with the lawsuit could be a big distraction and Trackhouse sucked last year and losing Ty Norris will hurt the team! The only driver I see making the playoffs for Trackhouse is SVG! I will say that Ty Dillon won't make the playoffs unless he wins at a Superspeedway however I believe AJ Allmendinger at least wins a race or 2

All 4 Hendrick cars will make the playoffs but Byron will go winless during the regular season. In fact I don’t see Hendrick dominating like they used too because Penske & Gibbs are just as good every week. Larson will win no more than 4 races and not make the final 4.
